The more I listen to El Camino, the more I love it. I was a huge fan of Thickfreakness, but TBK really stepped up their game on the newest one. Really great album, all the way through. Little Black Submarines is also an absolutely stellar track. Can't say I disagree with any of this. I have all TBK's albums, and love them all, but Thickfreakness, Brothers, and now El Camino are my favorites. Little Black Submarines is getting A LOT of love by pretty much everyone, and I think its because its different than anything they've done. It starts off acoustic (which I haven't heard on an album of theirs) and personal, then they ******* drop the bomb half way through and shred it up the rest of the way through.
i like it. disappointed to see there aren't more songs of theirs on youtube.
Yeah, it kinda surprised me too. I'm sure there will be more. He has a friend who is in my friends band who has a bunch of videos up, its just of him playing guitar though. He's a guitar player, but a ******* sick one, and he can do fingerstyle too.

Don't know if anyone around these parts likes Jack White, but I'm a big fan. Here is his new single:

Should be an interesting solo debut, to say the least. I think he's one of the last few rock stars left out there, honestly. It Might Get Loud is a great documentary featuring him and the development of the guitar as an instrument if anyone is interested in that sort of thing. Also features The Edge and Jimmy Page.

Damn dude, my friend who I'm going with went last year (I didn't), and as long as the lineups don't suck (which they won't, because its ******* roo), we'll probably go every year.
I've come to the conclusion that if you can afford it, you almost have to do it. I can't talk first hand, but my friend speaks very highly of it.
Anyone who is going to Bonnaroo should let me know, we can start a thread up after it gets back and tell (some of) our stories, I'm sure people on here would like it.

Do any of you listen to Dawes? I told my one buddy about them after I found out they were playing Bonnaroo and he told me he (and our other friend, when he was still in the band) opened a show for them and met the entire band when they played around here on a tour. They've got quite a few songs I like a lot and it kinda took me by surprise when he told me he was able to open for them.
Bringing back up because there has to be at least one of you ******* out there that listen to these guys already. If not, you should.

I met her in Toronto a while back, before she was really famous. A friend I went to high school with did all of her early wardrobe stuff. Really nice girl, and she's definitely way cuter now then she used to be. But yeah, should be a really fun show. WAS awesome. I'm not a big hip-hop guy, but I liked his earlier music a lot. There was power behind his lyrics before, and it seems now that he's gotten famous, he doesn't put the same effort into his lyrics and just coasts on mediocre lyrics. His early stuff is good, but anything made in the last 2-3 years, is pretty much just more of your generic hip-hop.

Great song, the rest of their album (EP, whatever) isn't as good as this song, IMO, but still a lot of cool music being made.
I heard some song last night that I only heard the last 20 seconds of, but knew it was epic, and was confirmed by the dj with silence for a little bit, and then just "whoa"... IDK who it was, but I'm sure I'll hear it again if I can't find it first.
Also the Counting Crows have a new album coming out, and their new single has been on the radio for about a week or so around my area, but if this song is any indication of the rest of the album, I'm getting it. I'm not sure whether they just haven't come up with a title for the song yet or not, but right now it just says "Untitled" as the song title, but its such a great song...

For all you indie fans out there I would love an honest critique of this band.

Not sure I'm qualified to critique, but I threw in more of their songs I found on their profile. I think I like House of Fun the most of the three. Losing the voice alteration and adding more instruments is always a good thing.

I think what everyone on here really wants to know is:

I bought the band a round and chatted a bit, then left. I'm home now.

They seem like pretty meek dudes.

I appreciate the additions. My friend is the guitarist but its not really my style of music.

The Black Keys- Gold on the Ceiling.
Saw them a few weeks ago and this song was unreal good live. Probably the best they played of the new songs.

I've been back on a Keys kick recently, with it being warm, I just drive around with the windows down blasting it for the rest of the world to enjoy, haha.
