Wow, we are taking some of the most pathetic shots I have ever seen. We are going three point crazy, but we aren't making a lot of them. Lighty and Conley are playing like idiots and Greg Oden isn't getting the ball at all. This is a sorry last couple days for OSU Athletics.

That's always been a problem for him, he was just above 50% last year. As a team we don't have much besides Taylor but Bohannon is a good FT shooter that we can put in, I also trust Flowers but other than that it's terrible.

I was fortunate enough to go to the Wisky osu game and it was nucking futs. All I gotta say the unsung hero for Wisconsin this year is Marcus Landry. He's givin r 100% on both sides of the floor. IMO him and kam were mvps of the game. I dont think the score did any justice to the badgers. They maintained the lead for the whole game and should have put the game away a lot earlier. Solid win for Bucky and its just another step to the championship.

What a sweet win by my Badgers last night. I have to give props to Ohio State as well. They looked fantastic to me, and by the time the tourney rolls around they will be a VERY tough out. It just goes to show how far Bo Ryan has brought the Badger program that they can not only now compete with teams that have great atheletes they can at times DOMINATE them as they did for a stretch last night. They are so deep and they continue to be one of the hungriest teams in the nation. Bo Ryan wouldnt have it any other way.

They are definetly overrated. McRoberts has tons of talent but obviously doesnt have a single clue how to use it. Paulus is terrible. Scheyer will be good in time but is only a role player for now. I like Henderson a lot from what ive seen though hes a good player. They are just too young and lack leadership, paulus makes too many mistakes to be a true point guard.

You've lost to Marquette, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech; hmm I'd say our losses are a little better than yours. 3 top 25 teams we've lost to; and the other 2 were at Michigan, a very tough place to play and at Xavier; a flat out bad game.

You guys are not a top 15 team, hell you're not a top 20 team. It's that simple.

And btw, only 2 of our losses have come with a full squad; btw our PG Chester Frazier is injured. That means Semrau, Randle, Smith, Carter, Pruitt, and now Frazier have all been injured and missed time (Pruitt was pulled early because of his hand a couple games).

The only players that I like are Nelson and Scheyer right now. Henderson will be good down the road and that McClure kid is pretty good but like I said before, Duke is going to have a tough time in the ACC this season. They just don't have the talent or the experience this year. I've argued it on this topic and many of the Dookie fans on here didn't want to believe me. Well 0-2 should be a telling sign that this team is not what it has been in the past. I'm calling for a #4 or lower finish in the ACC this season.

Has Alando Tucker's supporting cast improved all that much? Brian Butch is still inconsistent. Michael Flowers is still a good role guy. Sure, they added a couple of solid freshman guards in Jason Bohannon and Trevon Hughes, but is it enough to warrant a No. 4 ranking?

The bottom line is that Wisconsin will probably be the same team in six weeks when the two teams square off again while Ohio State will likely make major strides because of their youth and the fact that Greg Oden will be 100 percent by then.

Thad Matta will have fully integrated Oden into the offense by the time the Big Ten's top teams meet again - on Feb. 25 in Columbus.

Even with a sub-par game from the 7-foot freshman and fellow talented frosh Daequan Cook, the Buckeyes were a Jamar Butler 3-pointer away from forcing another five minutes with the Badgers.

The Badgers have knocked off Florida State and Pittsburgh at home and a struggling Marquette team on the road. Do we forget that this was a team that lost to Missouri Valley Conference's Missouri State on a neutral floor?

This team is not North Carolina. It's not Florida or UCLA. It's not even Ohio State. At least not six weeks from now.

don't worry about it. just let the haters hate. Badgers are a national contender this year and they aren't a flashy team so people in the media will bash them. They are the most underrated program in the nation and so is Bo Ryan. I hope the badgers keep getting the negative media attention and go in the tournament with a chip on their shoulder. Also I hope they stay at this ranking range because they'll be a #1 seed, yet they wont have a target on their back for being the number one team in the nation.

but at home the badgers always struggle against them. There was a stat that at home they've beaten a ranked team each of the last 8 years. Some consider Coach K's (9 I think)consecutive sweet 16 appearances to be an equal feat to wooden's streak of championships ( not me). When you get deep into the tourney every year it is not easy to beat teams year in and year out. Look at Kansas they have lost in the first round two years in a row. Does Self suck too?

If he sat him no one else could step up in his place.

Do you think it is a coincidence these guys have been able to keep dominating programs with them throughout the years? No, it is their recruiting abilities that helps them surround themselves with players capable of dominating college basketball for years. Look at Roy williams. What was UNC before he came there from Kansas? nothing.College coaching is much more than simply coaching, and Coach K is probably one of the best recruiters in the country as well. Do you think duke recruits kids from all around the country for no reason? Every1 shut up about Duke. Whenever a team loses 3 of your best players and u start 3 freshman unless they are special, u are going to suck. Duke is no different. We all saw Duke sucking when Williams and Reddick had to go, so shut ur pie holes. Of course, we are overrated, but we are always overrated to some people.

I like Duke. McRoberts is overhyped and overrated. He's soft and won't translate to what draft analysts think he'll become in the NBA (a Chris Webber type). I love Jon Scheyer, saw him play twice last year in the Illinois state playoffs and he's going to be very, very good. Same with :lol: Henderson. The hype train that followed McRoberts and Paulus into Duke got out of control and neither has same to have improved on their game much at all this season, especially Paulus.

I honestly dont think anyone on duke will ever amount to anything just look at history i think the only one on the team who has a decent chance at becoming something is Brian Zoubek based on size only and once he bulks up he'll be something special hes a better passer than paulus, however mike K has a rep of making the big men wussies-Christian Lambeer, Danny Ferry, and so on... Demarcus has alot of talent but mike K dosent let him score as much as he did JJ reddick demarcus is the defination of a scorer as he can score any way he can but mike k dosent let him

just answer my question- they got like a whole roster of blue chippers and how many championships have they won and how many final 4s have they blown? im telling you if Bobby Knight was on that team they'd have won maybe 8 championships

take last year for example he told them to just give the ball to JJ and let him score 30 every night but hes too stupid to realize when shelden is the guy who scores 30 they win not when jj does

Coach K is probably the best coach in the country, and your trying to say he sucks. That is absurd. Some consider Coach K's (9 I think)consecutive sweet 16 appearances to be an equal feat to wooden's streak of championships ( not me). When you get deep into the tourney every year it is not easy to beat teams year in and year out. Look at Kansas they have lost in the first round two years in a row. Does Self suck too?

BTW you can't exactly " blow a final four". Getting to the final four itself is a major accomplishment.

If they didn't win when JJ scored 30+, how do you explain an early season W over #2 Texas last year when JJ dropped 41? Over UNC? and so on. He was the best player in the country last year for a reason, because Coach K utilized him perfectly, and the entire team revolved around him and sheldon.

The only problem that coach K has had is no depth Throughout many of his deep tourney runs. Usually Duke has just as quality of players as anyone else in the country, but they hardly ever have any solid depth behind them. When it comes to tourney time they are running on empty. Look at JJ last year, he played damn near 40 minutes a game last year and when it came March his legs were gone, but he was the only who gave Duke the possibility to win the entire season. so what was he going to do? sit him and lose? If he sat him no one else could step up in his place.

You may be right in saying that Coach K has not created the maximum amount of national titles he POSSIBLY could have , but it's not like he's losing agianst mid-majors when the tourney time comes or losing without going deep into the big dance. Name me one other coach that has been able to keep up with his dominance in recent times. The only coaches even in the same category as him would have to be Roy williams or Jim calhounIMO. Do you think it is a coincidence these guys have been able to keep dominating programs with them throughout the years? No, it is their recruiting abilities that helps them surround themselves with players capable of dominating college basketball for years. Look at Roy williams. What was UNC before he came there from Kansas? nothing.College coaching is much more than simply coaching, and Coach K is probably one of the best recruiters in the country as well. Do you think duke recruits kids from all around the country for no reason? Look at demarcus Nelson, he came all the way from California where he was Mr. basketball or Kyle sigler who is comming all the way from Oregon. The bottem line is that Mike has done a brilliant job at Duke since learning from Bob at westpoint, and to question his abilities and acomplishments is simply stupid. Do you really think he was promoted to be the coach of the National team for no reason?

He has won the national title THREE times, He had a streak of FIVE straight final fours, ( 9 total),With 68 career wins in the NCAA tournament, Mike Krzyzewski is the winningest coach in the history of the NCAA tornament with 68 wins, ( yeah he chokes in the tourney!!!!!) In the best confrence in college basketball he has won 11 regular season titles, ten ACC tournament titles, and 12 national coach of the year awards. Also, this is his all time record at DUKE 645-172 (.790). How can you even question anything this guy has accomplished? He knows more about basketball that you and I could ever fathom.

however if they lose a few games and slip out of the national radar and land a 3-4 seed, i will pick them to go to the elite 8 at least. They got the big men inside to score and play D, and the superstar on the outside, although inexperienced, should be a big impact for them.

HA. I can't stop laughing after I read this. INEXPERIENCED?? How? They are one of the most experienced team in college basketball. It usually comes down to matchups in the tournament. We have done some damage in the past, it just goes unnoticed. The badgers have enough depth, they have the talent, they have the experience, they have the coach, the swagger, the scheme. Alando Tucker doesn't have to drive the team for the Badgers to win. We can have a leading scorer every night. opponent, I am not scared whatsoever because I know they can win.

Durant played like an absolute superstar last night. If Oden doesn't come out, so be it. I'm actually excited to see what the Sixers are able to do with this draft. I haven't really been a fan of the team since Barkley left, so I'm excited for them to get a new superstar to lead them. Oden would be great for the city (they haven't had a true center in his prime since Malone). Either way, I'm very high on Durant, regardless of where he goes in the draft.

We will prolly push UConn to the brink Saturday, but I expect us to lose. IU just has very poor talent right now. Stemler never played before more than 30 fans in his collegiant career before this year. Mike White is nonexistent. DJ looks 47. Ratliff looks like he's given up on basketball to pursue acting as Dumbo in the next Disney film, and Roddy Wilmont is definitely on steroids. When you add this all up, we have no basketball talent. So UConn should be weary of the Hoosiers because we play great D and are scrappy. If I recall, that's the same formula George Mason used last year to beat a much better UConn team.

Yes, the talent level on this team is average, but like you've said they are playing good D.

The funny part about IU is that every player has been incosistant this year, but it seems like every time one player struggles another one picks him up.

IU doesn't have bad talent, but they are overachievers. They play great defense and are also a very good rebounding team despite having only two players that are over 6'9''. And if you think Ben Allen is a key bench player you don't know IU. The game will be close, to think it will be a blowout doesn't make sense. It will a tough win for us because we never seem to win on the road.
