USC does it for me. I cant stand the media attention they get and how year in and year out every dopey, fair weather fan is on there balls. I would just love to see them play an SEC schedule for once and see where they end up. Plus, I can't stand Pete Carol.

Honorable Mention, tOSU.
Mostly because I am a Michigan fan. I actully don't hate OSU that much and usually root for them in bowl games because I like to see the Big Ten do well. But the thing that really pisses me off is the lack of class there fans show.

Fred Savage
11-20-2006, 11:23 AM
I dont understand what it is with Buckeye fans. Is it because you live in Ohio and have nothing else positive to look forward too or is it just a general lack of class? I think OSU fans suffer from an inferiority complex when it comes to Michigan so when they get a chance they cant handle themselfs. Besides Jbond, every OSU fan I have ever met is a complete dickhead. Act like you have won a game before. I think it's a fair assumption Michigan doesnt care about tOSu as much as tOSU care's about Michigan.

from a purely psychological perspective, i'm curious why you feel that your program is so woefully inadequate that you need to mention this in every single post you make. when CU finally started consistently beating Nebraska, i didn't go around finding random NU fans to harass. especially not after a tight win.

Couldn't agree more. We dislike OSU, but OSU HATES us. Honestly, I would be embarassed if I were an OSU fan by some of the behavior exhibited by OSU fans. You guys have great talent, a classy leader in Smith, a classy coach- and then fans who have a national reputation for being the most abusive, thuggish, ignorant goons ever. Throwing beer cans at little girls because they have Michigan gear on, picking fights, etc. Every program has some fans like that, but OSU seems to take pride in them. Like someone said, act like you've won a game before.

Also, is this the right place to do my analysis of the game? I know its late, but I was so angry and disappointed for days afterward that I knew if I came on here and had to deal with cleveland and other bonehead fans, I would probably get myself banned. Now that I'm calmed down, I want to get my opinion on the game out.

While most tOSU fans are idiots, I can at least respect they are one of the best programs in the country and they have something to be proud of/burn couches about.

ND sucks and has the worst bandwagon fans in the world, they haven't beaten a good team in forever and the best thing Charlie Weis has done is lose to USC. They are the France of the college football world.

I also hate USC b/c people like this exist:

Reasons we did not blow out ucla...1) Incompetent refs - 4 penalties on our first drive, none on ucla's first. We were penalized EVERY drive where we had momentum. 2) Unfair sportsmanship and cheating by the ucla players - from Scott Wolf" C.J. (Gable) said UCLA had been going for my ankles and trying to twist them.’’ Moody couldn't play because of that and Washington ended up with a torn MCL! 3) The ENTIRE country was rooting for us to get to the Chanpionship game and it may have been too much pressure on Lane Kiffin. He was not up to snuff for the game according to the ucla DC, Chow, and Kiffin himself. 4) ucla played a GIRLS game, much like Vince Young last year. REAL teams play big man on big man in your face ball, not cowardly QB sneaks. There is NO honor in a win like that. You will NEVER see a USC team embarrass its fans playing that way. NEVER. 5) No Heisman candidates this season - need to recruit more TOUGH impact 5-star players. We are known for our pre-game intimidation factor and we need to make sure we don't lose our edge there.

Ultimately, we are still the better team, and even if the scoreboard is wrong, we were the real winners that day because we had better coaches, better players, better fans, played fairly, with more heart and with class. The nation knows it.

But i'd have to say Miami(FL) should be on the poll because they (especially in Ohio) are seen as the thug school who can't do anything but be thugs. Actually people in southern Ohio hate Miami as much as they hate Michigan maybe its just because they know they woulda lost that game if they hadn't blown out Willis' knee

Why Lloyd Carr is a douche:

On the year-end "Michigan Replay" show this weekend, Lloyd Carr got in one final dig at Florida and its politicking president.

"As long as you have a president, like they have at Florida, who goes out and campaigns publicly through the media for his school to get in there, rather than allowing the system to work, I think there's going to be a lot of discontent," Carr said of Florida's Bernie Machen, ironically a former U-M provost. "Thank goodness we've got a president at Michigan (Mary Sue Coleman) who is concerned about keeping Michigan as the No. 1 public university in the country."

http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070102/SPORTS06/701020396/1054/SPORTS06&GID=p5zqVzwhep385+jccf/Gfy2F2zMso/oYjMq8QpwC/NY%3D

Lloyd, your team just got humiliated on national television and didn't look worthy to play in the Humanitarium Bowl much less the national championship game. Why don't you concern yourself with choking in every big game you play in and not worry about other programs.

Why don't you shut up until Florida plays a close game against Ohio State, and then you can run your mouth.

Because I'm just a fan and alum screwing off on a message board who doesn't mean sh1t, not a highly visible representative of a public university disparaging another university in which he has no idea what's going on when he has bigger problems of his own. As an alum, he insulted me, and that was uncalled for. At this point, it doesn't matter what happens in the national championship game, which I fully expect Florida to win, because Michigan showed it wasn't worthy and if you're best reasoning was Michigan should have lost in Glendale instead of Florida, that's a loser's mentality and I have no sympathy for that.

How quickly Michigan fans seem to forget all the years they beat us and acted like jerks as well. I admit it, lots of OSU fans can be annoying but to think Michigan fans are above any of that is ridiculous. Michigan has their fair share of classless fans too. Win or lose I hear all kinds of crap from Michigan fans. Also hearing Michigan fans talk about how they should be in the NC game got old real fast.

However these recent years at least Michigan has earned what they got unlike Notre Dame who have earned nothing yet still get all kinds of undeserved praise. Will getting smashed by LSU finally may finally get people to realize that.

Not really, John David Booty is the man...he wins games. You can't say that about Quinn. Booty had like 400 yards passing against Michigan, what did Quinn total in the Sugar Bowl? I would rather have Booty. It is not homer talk for me to think Quinn is overrated. Everyone acts like he is going to be the greatest thing to happen to football which I find to be a joke. Then they go out and act like retards so people hate their team......then delude themselves into thinking that people hate ND because of jealousy and not because of their idiot fans and undeserved media coverage/poll rankings.

The Irish are the Yankees of football????

USC signs all the top talent (except Jimmy Clausen), has two star players invovled with scandals (Bush, Jarrett), has a kicker jump or fall off a cliff, has a QB with a criminal record, had a DE and a safety with a criminal record.

And don't get me started on THE U.

I don't see that drama in South Bend.

I gotta go with Michigan. Around here there are soo many that its rediculous, and the only reason they like them is cause they are perenially good.

ND-I respect Wies....a lot and can not wait to see what he does
USC-started liking..yes during the Reggie Bush days. About 4 years or so

First of all my good sir, you are missing the meaning of my post. I say they are like the Yankees because every year they always come out over ranked and over rated but get away with all the glory just for the sake of being Notre Dame.

Second, while I think Reggie Bush was in the wrong for jepordizing USC's program he is still innocent until proven guilty. And that whole thing with Jarrett was lame and he didnt even get in trouble because it was a misunderstanding that was blown out of proportion

I love Notre Dame...but I love the Yankees more and these statements are an insult.
1. When they start ranking baseball teams get back to me.
2. How is winning 26 championships getting away with all the glory?

This year Notre Dame ended up ranked around number 20 which is what they were a 20-25 team who beat teams like Penn St. and Georgia Tech.

Everyone hating on ND. It's the most storied and successful program in the history of college football and so in turn people can't stand them. Thats the logic behind every Notre Dame hater. And there sure are hell of a lot of you.

No, it's because they "think" they are the most storied program in history, and keep living off of the past. The media, even though they basically sucked for well over a decade, still tried to make us think they were the same ND as in the past. When was the last ND national championship? When was the last time teams feared playing them? Yeah, that's what I thought. People hate ND because of what they are, arrogant, not because they are jealous. Get a clue my friend.

ohhh I love it, ND the most hated team. just shows you hate em' cuz you aint em'. it also shows the bias on the board, when you guys are downgrading every ND player possible

Hold on there. Michigan and USC have a right to hate us because we hate them. It's a given considering we're rivals. They really just try to bring down our QB. It's not even 100% that Brady Quinn was our QB at ND. He's on top of the draft so people are nitpicking just like they did with Leinart and Vince. They pick at Clausen because he's older than a lot of the other high school seniors. I don't like that but whatever.

I love ND and although I don't like the constant criticism and the mocking of Weis, I don't think that the majority of the other schools are jealous. Some may be but they are in the minority. They don't like that we were ranked so highly at the beginning and they were right about that.

Like I said, I love ND but until they prove that they derserve to be back on top we as ND fans are going to have to endure being hated on for being overrated and having done nothing recently.

My most hated is USC, followed extremely closely by tOSU. HATE THEM!

GO IRISH!!!

Trying to to be a homer in my views, hoped it worked. I'm reasonable right?

while rivalry has something to do with it, its just Notre Dame in general for me that i dislike. i dislike UCLA but Notre Dame is on a whole other level. i even thought i would be able to pull for them in the sugar bowl because i wanted to see Quinn finally do well in a big game but i just couldnt bring myself to root for them when i flipped on the tv. i dont think Quinn will ever be the leader that Palmer or Leinart are and this is a 100 percent unbiased opinion. I feel Troy Smith is a better leader than Quinn is too. but my dislike for ND goes beyond the USC-ND rivalry

No one considers a Notre Dame a frontrunner, to be a frontrunner your team has to win something once in a while. Like say, the last decade or so.

Yep the media bias against UM is absolutely amazing.

The Brawl -ND has gotten into brawls before 2 other programs got into a WORSE brawl that very weekend!

The Merriweather incident wiht him firing his gun. - The 2nd amendment allows the right to bear arms, it is a protected right that our forefathers (or at least mine) have fought and died for. HE LEGALLY had that gun.

Kellen Winslow II and everything about him. - Is riding a motor cycle illegal? If so please arrest me too.

Najeh Davenport get's arrested before the National Title Game. - He hasnt been in school in ages There is plenty of ND people that have been arrested. Hey Joe Namath is a fall down drunk and letcher, I guess all ND fans are too? They dont get the same haterade we get for it.

And other stuff...

If UM recruits a kid wit a shadey background to give him a chance, we get ripped for it. If he goes to another school they get praised for giving the kid a second chance (see willie williams for instance and Lousiville wanting himright now for one example of this "ahh they are giving hte kid another chance").

ND and Miami both get biased, the difference is miami's is always spun to complete and utter hatred and ND is always spun to the good guys.

Catholics vs the Convicts crap of the past.

It isnot like the standards of UM are easy to get into, actually it is the hardest school in florida to get into. It has controlled standards and turns away many players. It is an upstanding school and filled with good students that go on to great success in business, Law, Doctors, Education, etc etc etc.

It is hugely biased approach and view of it, which is why it should be up on this pole.

While I respect everyhting about the University Academically, the administration needs to come up with some sort of regulations against staying out at night. But Miami is the only school that consistently has these problems.

On the other end of the spectrum what Notre Dame did to basketball player Kyle McAlarney is unacceptable. Throwing a mid out of school for one offense. Even BC gave Williams multiple chances to redeem himself.

If Miami develops a harsher policy regarding their football team and Notre Dame eases off a bit both schools will be well respected again.

Im a huge Michigan State fan, but i must say that all UofM fans are pompous jackasses, one day lloyd Carr is a terrible coach one day and a savior the next. John navarre was a Top 10 pick one day 7th rounder that next. The fans ahve no loyalty to anyone on the team. They are only loyal to the Name Michigan.

Just watch as soon as mallett has one bad game against a big 10 team they'll throw him under the bus but if he beats State or Ohio State he's be a savior.

Michigan is the worst because if you actually talk to any of the hardcore adult fans, none of them actually went to Michigan. They all just want to buy into this Harvard of the West ideal, when really U of M is just a bunch of bratty trust fund kids that thinks the world owes them something because they went to Michigan. This year was especially bad because they had to play second fiddle to OSU the whole year.

Im not sure about a game to game basis, but I went to the Sugar Bowl game when the Illini played LSU a couple of years back(my dads a U of I grad), and they were terrifying. Just walking into the stadium was like walking into a third world country; everone was drunk and kicking over trash cans and screaming obscenities. I was only mildly surprised that they werent burning virgins at the stake pregame.

Maybe because they couldnt find any virgins.
