EDIT: You want the player, but your team DOES NOT need him that badly. sorry for the thread title.

Lets say you want Glenn Dorsey extremely badly but are a Chargers or Patriots fan and your team doesnt really need him.

Not sure what you mean by this thread.

But I can say that as a Chiefs fan I would kill to get Dorsey. He is a Warren Sapp type talent and would give us one of the most talented defensive lines in the NFL.

my favorite team is the buffalo bills and i would love for Kenny Phillips who happens to go to my favorite school THE U, but obviously with our 2 young safeties Simpson and Whitner we do not need him nor will we draft him. Also, i love Jonathen Stewert but we just drafted Marshawn Lynch so we obviously wont be drafting him either

Brian Brohm to Green Bay but Aaron still has to take the reins from Favre

I love Jasper Brinkley, but Jets are stacked at ILB.

I would love to have Lawrence Jackson and convert him to OLB...but the Chargers are pretty stacked at linebacker and might not draft one at all.

Calais Campbell, DeSean Jackson, Early Doucet, Kenny Phillips, Darren McFadden, Steve Slaton, Vince Hall, Xavier Adibi, ect.

All those players are players I want the Jags to get.

I would love me some Darren McFadden or Glenn Dorsey, but I hope my team is good enough this year to remove themselves from a chance at either player.

OT Sam Baker to the Giants, they need a left tackle

just to clarify...I messed up the thread title.

Basically I want to know what player you REALLY covet, but know that your team would not draft because they don't need that position very badly.

Jake Long for NY Giants

aNYtitan
05-22-2007, 07:05 PM
I want Kenny Phillips to be on the Titans, but we already are locked down at safety. Any chance he moves to corner lol?

Bucs need a deep threat at WR because Galloway is getting older and we a great return game would be a huge advantage so the perfect player for the Bucs is DeSean Jackson no question.

Also, I want a big, powerful LDE that can rush the passer so if Chris Long or Tyson Jackson would be a great fit opposite Gaines Adams...I doubt Calais Campbell will be available for us.

If both these guys were gone, then I would love for the Bucs to grab another young wideout, so Early Doucet or Mario Manningham would be good as well.

for the niners, i would lover to either desean jackson or brian cushing

Glenn Dorsey wouldn't be that bad a fit for the Bolts. Bulk him up a little and have him spell Jamal Williams, and replace him in a few years.

As for who I'd like in a non-need area, I'd say somebody like Jake Long.

yea i wish the lions take Phillips but with us drafting Bullocks and Alexander the past two years i know we wont take him...its a shame he's going to be so good

[Insert top LB prospect for '08]

Really, this is the only position I can think of in Green Bay that a top prospect couldn't greatly improve. Defensive line is another strength in Green Bay, but a guy like Calais Campbell would still be an improvement over Cullen Jenkins and add to the overall talent. QB isn't out of the question, we don't know how Jackson will do at RB, FB is a need if Miree doesn't step up, WR isn't horrible, but we could use a deep threat with some size. TE is a certain need, OT is quite weak, seeing how Clifton is a shell of his former self. Guard and Center are decent, so I guess I could say Oher or something like that... Safety is a huge need, and we need depth at CB, so those are out of the question for this thread as well. So as I said, top LB available.

yea thats exactly what this thread was about...like there is no way the Chargers take Darren McFadden when we have Tomlinson, but there is no doubt he would be sick to have on the Bolts!

Patriots-Earl Bennet, Chris Long, Derrick Harvey (DE/OLB could happen)

For Niners Theirs a few favorites but don't think they'll be there with the Colts pick, like DeSean Jackson, Vernon Gholston, Derrick Harvey, Tyson Jackson. Some who I'd like and might be there depending on how many JR's declare would be, Brian Cushing, Chevis Jackson, though things could change obvisously. One thing I always look for is good OLBs in the 3-4 and I'll be interested on who could climb up the boards as the season progresses and concludes, one guy I kind of like Louis Holmes.

calais campbell to the bears but i dont think he'll be there at 32!! ya i said 32 wanna fight about it

Darren McFadden and Glenn Dorsey. Calais Campbell would be my 1st or 2nd choice, but he would start over both Okeafor and Berry anyway.

Bearsfan123
05-22-2007, 10:37 PM
the Bears

Ray Rice
Mike Hart
or Felix Jones (i think thats his last name)-to be backups but with the drafting of Garret Wolfe theres no way we can take another first day rb.

WR Dorien Bryant- hes a playmaker but with hester switching to offense...well lets just say we cant justify drafting a similar guy, but Marcus Monk would be good.

Glen Dorsey- because hed make an awesome tandem with Tommie Harris. (note i was pushing for us drafting Alan Branch as well) but alas hes a top 5 pick and Dt cant be made to have the most money on the team.

I would want Darren McFadden for the Ravens but we have Willis.

I would also love to have Kenny Phillips, but we are Set at safety.

Calais Campbell for the Saints

ncstateviking

i would love to have jake long to have the top tackle tandem in the league. but there is no way the jets would spend a top 10 pick on a right tackle.

Going by the logic of this thread... I'd say Darren McFadden. He's a true beast in my opinion but the Saints are my favorite team.

McAllister/Bush/McFadden/Pittman. Yep.

Kenny Phillips, but our needs at OT are much bigger.

i really want Marcus Freeman or James Laurinaitis for the Bears. Freeman will have a huge year this year and if he comes out will sneak into the first. I want him for strongside but we are set at lb and on d but he could replace briggs...

That would be such a waste of a great talent. A talented defensive lineman should be allowed to get after the passer and have a great career but that will never happen to a 3-4 defensive lineman.

Calais Campbell for the Bucs, even though we just took a DE. He plays LE so maybe...

SenorGato
05-23-2007, 04:05 PM
Vernon Gholston.

The Jets could use such a huge pass rushing threat at OLB, which is where I think he ends up in the NFL.

Either him of Johnny Stewart.

For the Ravens, it would be pretty cool to have DeSean Jackson but not too much need for him, especially after taking Yamon Figurs.
