How do you tell by watching someone play if they have long or short arms?

For example, I go on nbadraft.net. They say a guy a long arms but they don't know his wingspan. They'll also say a guy has short arms but they don't know his wingspan.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. I've been looking to see how close their fingertips come to their knees. But anyways, I thought the scouts had something they look for. Probably just the eyeball test.

yeah. but some people have short torso's. and that throws off their 'wingspan'.

it's more on how people can use their agility to jump or throw their arms around.
