I used to have this game for the ps2 and it was positively awesome, and one of the top 10 video games ever, IMO. Unfortunately I don't have it anymore, but I am looking for MVP 2005 for the PC so I can easily update the rosters/schedules/etc, so it will be like MVP 2007.

The problem is, I can only find them at ridiculous prices like 50-60 bucks, and at about 30-40 on eBay. Does anyone know where I can find a pretty reasonably priced version of the game? If anyone here has it and willing to sell it, please pm me.

Also, if anyone has played the PC version compared to the PS2/xbox version, are they both pretty much the same?

i have that game, its really fun, but on my game right handers hit alot more homers than lefties, so i basically just go all righty in my line up

i know some places you could get the game for free, but not legal, i'm not sure where you could buy it besides ebay, maybe check craigs list

Funny you bring this up me and my brother were talking about this game yesterday. It is easily the best baseball game of all time, and is definitely still playable today. John Dowd (White Fake Barry Bonds) is a beast.

I really do miss this game. I wish they would still make it because it blows ESPN out of the water.

I still think the first Ken Griffey Jr. and Ken Griffey Jr. for the N64 are the two best baseball games I've ever played.

its a shame that the one sport game EA is really good at making is the only one where they no longer make it

MVP Baseball 2005 is the best baseball game ever. I'm pissed they lost their rights to make the game. It would look absolutely sick on XBOX 360.

Such a sweet game. Picked it up recently, David Ortiz has like 52 HR in 65 games. He's an animal

MVP '05 is probably the best baseball game ever. Of course, Baseball Stars for Nintendo is a true classic as well.

How about RBI baseball for the NES its like Tecmo for baseball, simply awesome

It really sucks that Take Two bought the rights to the MLB games even though MVP was far and away the best baseball series out there. I just picked up MLB 2K7 for the X-Box 360 a few weeks ago and even though it's good it's nothing compared to MVP.

There is actually a comprehensive mod for it that converts it to mvp 07. There are new rosters released all the time on mvpmods.com

it wasnt good, it blew. i rented it and went home, tried one game and walked into the hollywood video and asked the guy if i could swap it for a different one because this game blew hardcore. then i rented NBA 2K7 and it was all good.

Take two and EA sports should both drop the rights of MLB and NFL games respectively. it is just rediclous.

No video game company should be able to own the rights like that because it just makes the games worse for the consumers. When companies like EA and Take Two buy the rights to the NFL and MLB, respectively, then there is no competition for the games they make. Then they don't have to put as much effort into the product because if we consumers want an NFL or MLB game they know we don't have a choice.

Yeah basically. Its just messed up. NFL 2K5 is still updating rosters because people still like that more then Madden, but i don't know why they dont just cut a deal to drop both.
