in superstar i like doing qb n rb but i can never get a decent 40 time unless i have a Freak WR... i also cant get the rb vs lb drill i suck that up so i end up like a 70 ovr

ah whatever, i dominate the wr workouts, only knock on that was i got drafted by the rams and the switch me n torry holt so hes on the bench and i cant adjust the depth chart.

A little trick for the RB challenge, its not about how many TD's you score or anything, it's about how many successful truckings, stiff arms, jukes, spin moves, basically highlight sticks you get to work. That is what gives you your rating in those categories. It is better to just run into a guy and highlight stick hoping it works than to run right around the guy with no special move. Kinda stupid, but that's how it is. I could only get in the 70's or so, then I started running into the defenders just to make moves on them and I was a 96 overall.

My friend is amazing at the fourty yard dash, he gets 4.25s with laron landry. only 94 speed. Wtf the best ive gotten is 4.4

I play on all madden with all the cpu sliders all the way up and i still destroy. I user lawrence timmons at Lilb and get like 4 picks a game. beast.

ive gotten a couple 4.4's to, usually with champ bailey or someone like that. in superstar i can only seem to do it with a freak wr or db. i do it exactly the same, but i get "in the zone" with takes off about .4 in the end. then when i try with someone else, in superstar or franchise mode, my best is about 4.75.

I need some help with Cap Penalties.

Let's say I want to get rid of an expensive player, but they have a cap penalty if I trade or cut them. Is there anyway I can clear the cap penalty, or work around it? (other then keeping the players)

I dont think it is possible to erase cap penalties. Once you have them, you have them for the year. But to keep cap space to a minimum you can sign players to less money deals, but put the signing bonus up as high as possible. Signing bonus' do not count towards the cap space, and thus they cannot hurt you with cap penalties.

But yea, as far as cap penalties go, you are kinda stuck with that until the year is over.

Yes, that is exactly what happens.

But once you've won the superbowl 6 years in a row, prestige doesn't go down too much.

Man I know exactly what you mean. I'm pissed cause my team never adds anybody so I wanna sign with another team right fter those 2 years are up. The only one I ever finished and went all the way til retirement was the Linebacker one because I had insane stats and won a few Super Bowls with a team that got hot. It was the Panthers like 5, 6 years into it.

But, after I just went to the SB with the Bucs in my 2nd year, they signed Bryant McKinnie and Joey Porter, along with the other young guys getting better the team will stay good, that's the biggest additions I've seen.

I just blocked my first punt on madden, well I say me, it wasnt but whatever and by blocked it was more Mike Doss shot through unblocked on a punt block formation and the punter kicked the ball but Doss got hands on it and some weird animation happened where the ball bounced back cleanly into the punters hands, Doss takes him down, safety. Still aint seen it though.

Does anyone have that list where it shows what position the cpu usually drafts in which round during a fantasy draft? tried searching the thread without much luck.

Just a few previews of what you can expect from the league. We are currently in week 3 and finishing up and week 4 should open today, we move at a pretty fast pace with a new week every 4 days. You can take up to only 2 teams 1 NFC 1 AFC but you can also take only 1 team if you don't have time for two. As of now we are full but our waiting list is empty right now which will mean you are ahead of the line to get a team and start.

This league has alot of rules in order to keep it as sim as possible so if you're tired of the lobby cats you see abusing the AI with the way people jump 20 ft in the air user catching on offense, or line spreading the dline everytime and using the fast DE to run around the tackle everytime to get to the QB, people doing a PA glitch, RBs breaking designed run plays and going to the sideline all day, and people using the same plays over and over. You won't see that here as we like to keep thigns balanced and fair to other plays in the league in a very friendly & active community.

madden next gen is *** because you cant do multiple players on the same team. my friends and i would always create a guy on offense and defense and play on the same team, it was the most ballin **** evar. no they took that away. although they taunted us and let two players join a team this year.

also for me when i did get to change their numbers (cause like cromartie would get like 49) hed become 25 years old, age would change and the contract would change, it was weird

What do you guys think is the best Superstar position to play? I've played Safety, and Linebackers extensively. Cornerback, D End, QB and RB (several times though) briefly. LB and Safety are the best to me. Best camera angles, most realistic style of play.

What's bad about these:

WR: QB's are idiots (unless you end up with a great QB), just cause you call for the ball doesn't mean always throw it. The thing about this is you can't see everything at WR, so you don't know who else is open. If a play takes forever I'll throw up my hand cause I'd rather get the catch in traffic than somebody else do the same, but I've had numerous times where I got Vince Young hanging me out to dry in triple coverage because of a bad throw when with a good throw I'd be fighting 1 DB or 2 at the most, then on top of that there's another guy or two wide open. Other times where he's completely turned around, I call for it and he just tosses up a duck. I just did this one and quit after a year (played 4 or 5 games). It was a NCAA campus legend I did with a 96 rookie rating and it got old quick.

QB: got drafted by the Cowboys as a computer generated guy and just it it up, it was so much easier than passing normally and I could actually audible. But that got old.

RB: this never works, "draw plays" up the ass, awful playcalling.

DE: I might try this one again, the only one I did it was one of those "freak of nature" pedigrees. I can't remember why I stopped, I think I was just bored.


Strong Safety is real fun to me. You get to do so many things, and if you got a top notch CB next to you you can free lance a little bit. Rush LB in a 3-4 is awesome, and MLB is right in the middle of the action. These 3 really give you the most control over what you can do from an individual perspective.

I like defensive end and linebacker.

I wouldn't go that far, but some of this is just flat out bad. Garrett Wolfe has a picture, but LaRon Landry doesn't? Come on now.


EDIT: Also, FG's need to be harder. The arrow needs to be moving. They are just way too easy, unlike in real life. Ratings are pretty poor too.

When I play in Superstar mode, not eam ever signs star players. Players such as Julius Peppers are in free agency until they retire.

Just bought this game, and am I the only one that experiences lagging? It might just be my XBox 360 because during the loading screen, I had a 'Unreadable Disc' message. That's the second game that I've had that happen to me. The first one was Mass Effect.

Anyways, this game is good. I'm used to play the old-gen XBox version of Madden 2006. I think the camera is a little too close to the players though, and some of the routes you can't see your receivers in because they're too far out of the camera's view. I like it so far, but I'm just a little worried I'll have to send my 360 and have nothing to do for 3-5 weeks. :(

Yep. From all my friends that have next gen systems, all of em say there's tons of stuff missing out from Franchise mode that's on PS2.

I don't think i could be able to become accustomed to a completely different Franchise Mode with the stuff missing out from the PS2 version.

Thats why im buying Head Coach, I used to stand up for Madden but they get lazy since its no competition, if someone else was making another game that was better no one would buy Madden anymore, thus making them work harder to create a better game...And I guess thats too much to ask.

It's hard for any game to improve when there's no incentive of competition. Why should EA and Madden spend the time, money and effort required to improve the game when it keeps selling like hot cakes? Improving the game probably reduces their profit margin.

1) Don't buy the game! We need a good boycott.
2) Tell your friends and family not to buy the game!
3) Buy any other EA competitor that's on the market
4) Email them with complaints and tell them how you refuse to buy the game anymore

How hard is the game play?
The QB Vision is easier, u use the mouse, but u could also use a controller
there are alot of new updates, rosters, draft classes. The community is active with finding ways to fix franchise mode and new sliders.
