The iPod cannot be ejected because it contains files in use of another application

I check to see if any songs are playing but they arent

help would be appreciated and i will give boatloads of rep

For future reference, what I do is I click the safely remove hardware button in the bottom right of my screen before taking out my mp3's.

I didn't want to make a new thread so hopefully someone can help me out here. Does anyone know if this http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_3/602-1240596-8012637?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000IK5XWW will work with other MP3 players too or is it just with an Ipod?

Speaking of help, instead of plugging in my ipod to my CPU and it automatically bringing up Itunes and syncing it, it's refusing to recognize my ipod and saying unknown device in USB port.

My ipod won't even start and thats after leaving it to charge all day yesterday and syncing it.

What could be the problem?

There is an unknown device in your USB port. Come on now.

There is an unknown device in your USB port. Come on now.I'm asking why the hell is it saying it now when it was working just fine yesterday. Keep the smart ass comments out of the thread.
