Its a so-so list, I really think Deboskie is a top 100 player, i think rivals overlooks AZ.

Ooh, 9 guys who are either Buckeye commits or Buckeye leans (Pryor, Brewster, Hale, Torrence, Posey, Stoneburner, Shugarts, Scott, Adams). Adams should be in the top 15.

I don't know how many times I have heard the phrase "The most high-profile running back to come out of California since Reggie Bush" in the last two or three years.

According to their list.... Ohio's top 8 looks like...

1. Kyle Rudolph
2. DeVoe Torrence
3. DeVier Posey
4. Brandon Beachum
5. Brandon Moore
6. Jake Stoneburner
7. Cordale Scott
8. Mike Adams

Rudolph, Posey, And Torrence make sense. But i'm scratching my head at how Brandon Beachum, Moore, Cordale Scott, and even Stoneburner are higher than Mike Adams. Beachum is not all that good. He's a decent athlete, but certainly not a top 60 player. He's not even the best linebacker on his own team.

Ya they like Beachum a lot.

The Ohio Top 10 should be:

1-Mike Adams
2-Kyle Rudolph
3-Devoe Torrence
4-DeVier Posey
5-Brandon Moore
6-Jacob Stoneburner
7-Cordale Scott
8-Danny McCarthy
9-Brandon Beachum
10-Michael Zordich

Beachum can play RB or Safety too. But of those 10 guys he and Moore are the only ones without an offer from tOSU.

Terrelle Pryor is compared to Vince Young, but that's unfair - Only Vince Young will ever be Vince Young. Terrelle may have the same physical abilities but I doubt he will ever have the instincts and intangibles Vince had.

Bahahaha it's a little soon to dismiss Pryor isn't it VY10. I do assume the VY the 10 and "Ohh the Vincanity" are all for Vince though. HOMERERD

You don't know that. I doubt you've seen the kid play. He could be better than VY in talent and intangibles, or he could be worse. Don't be such a homer

Cordale Scott is a big WR from Ohio, that can do alot. He comes from Glenville and has a Browneye offer so I think he will commit there. I know Darrell Scott is the top RB in the nation but I haven't heard him say that he dropped Michigan or vice versa because he has stated in the past month that he plans on visiting over the summer.

You guys should check out jonas Gray, hes a running back, most likely going to michigan he says. I have seen him in person. Hes extremely fast, very big legs. Hes a work horse, he will be starting at michigan when mike Hart leaves next year.

From what I've heard this guy is real overrated and doesn't even have a Michigan offer yet.

Just because his top choice is Michigan doesn't mean he's gotten a Michigan offer. And according to scout he doesn't have a Michigan offer.

http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=169&p=8&c=1&nid=2741217

& your scouting report is a little off it seems - Extremely fast? For his competition maybe. His biggest weakness is his breakaway speed.

Almost as ridiculous as Mays from USC running a 4.26 this spring. Give me a break.

I'm so mad Maryland has the worst recruitment ever lol.

Just watched some thing on rivals, pretty much owned us on how we always let our good talent go out of state. Maryland isn't a half bad program anyway.

Lol ouch, Bust pretty much got owned in this thread. It was a good effort though.

Good to see Pa has some nice 5 stars, but none past that. I'm excited that OSU is in contention for A LOT of good players, and our O-line will be beastly very very soon.

Right.. Considering most 40 times are not legit.

http://www.usoc.org/11611_32384.htm - read up.

In Gray's scouting report both sites questioned his breakaway speed. And watching his highlights it looks like hes running in slow motion compared to the faster backs - example: LaMaar Thomas.

LaMaar is listed at 4.36 and is a track star (10.63 second 100) just recently won state with that time in Maryland.

LaMaar is significantly faster than just .1.. So if Gray runs a 4.37 - LaMaar must run a 4.25.

1. Chris Henry Arizona 4.30
2. Adrian Peterson Oklahoma 4.4
3. Antonio Pittman Ohio St. 4.4
4. Kenny Irons Auburn 4.45
5. Lorenzo Booker Florida St 4.46
6. Marshawn Lynch Cal 4.46
7. DeShawn Wynn Florida 4.48
8. Alonzo Coleman Hampton 4.49
9. Ramonce Taylor Texas 4.5
10. Kolby Smith Louisville 4.51

Yeah, he's faster than all of those guys and he's only 17/18? Sorry that I don't buy it after watching his highlights.

By the way, there are many factors you're leaving out in your arguement. You forget the fact that they were running in different environments, at a different time and place.

Anybody who brings track into an arguement with 40 times is ignorant. They forget how track times are based on reacting to a gun being shot, instead of the time starting upon the very movement of the runner himself, thus a lag delay. Second, many olympic sprinters don't have the short end burst of football players. However, they have higher top end speed, thus making them better candidates for 100 meter dashes vs 40 yard dashes. It's the wholeshot vs. top speed arguement.

Third, it was electronically timed. There is nothing to argue about it. The only arguement you could pose is that the lasers are broken, or the 40 yard dash was shorter than 40 yards. Face it, Gray ran a great 40 time, whether it's consistent or not.

Well if you go on rivals.com and click the players list you can see where they have to teams, most say medium, but on jonas grays he said high on michigan state. Medium on the rest, do you think those are resourceful?

electric times at HIGHSCHOOL level arent always right, whoever thinks HighSchool kids are blazing 4.3s like this are not educated enough on football, and speed.... Electric times in HS are not always accurate, my friend ran a 4.7, 4.7 and a 4.4 and he said wow, Darrell Scott trains with Lorenzo Booker and he says that LORENZO smokes him and Darrell ran 4.32 and 4.38 while Booker ran 4.46 and 4.56......you people that think HS kids are running these ridiculous times have your heads up your @$$
