That show is so funny. The guys think they're getting some serious action only to get shot down. Some of their screen names are hilarious too, I love when they show the text and some of the weird things they say.

On one of them the decoy chick was freaking hot. I mean in a way that if I was joking at first and saw how hot that chick was I wouldn't have cared what her age was.

They had one the next county over from mine a few weeks ago and I know someone who knows a guy that got caught haha, I can't wait for that episode to air.

I think it's a very thin line. I think when police start facilitating crimes, it becomes a problem. My example about the transport truck left open with valuables in clear view is an example. When you give somebody the opportunity to commit a crime like that, I feel that it's entrapment. Same with cops dressing up like prostitutes and trying to get guys to pick them up. It just seems wrong to me to create a crime.

That's the thing. Sex laws are very arbitrary. Why is there some magical age when people can consent to sex? It doesn't make sense, but in reality there's really not a better solution (at least that I know of).

Which brings up another point- Is it really a legitimate crime if the decoy they chatted with online was an adult, and the actual decoy at the house was over 18 as well? I mean, in reality they never spoke to an underage person at all. Seems as though if one of these guys were to hire a competent attorney, they could use those facts to cut themselves free.

Though I would never want that to happen because I think all these dudes deserve more than just a few years in a concrete box. I think pine would be more appropriate. I just always wondered about it, along with the whole entrapment aspect that moses touched on. I'm a fan of the show though, and in this case, I believe the ends justify the means. Yeah, a lot of states have laws like that. Thing is, if a 14 year old boy has sex with an older girl he'll never cry to mommy because she ended up dissing him. Most statutory rape charges arise from either a girl who feels jilted, or a girl who got pregnant. I was statutorily raped for my first time, and I was damn happy about it.
