View Full Version : Kobe wants to be traded?

Phx trades - Amare Stoudemire to Atl
Atl trades - No 3, No 11, Zaza Pachulia, and Anthony Johnson to Min
Min trades - Kevin Garnet to Phx
it's a done deal by tommorrow evening
If Stoudemire is available, why wouldn't the Wolves just take him, instead of routing him to Atlanta for two first round picks. It's Amare Stoudemire!!!!
I agree with Mr. Ford 100%.

The Lakers should just let the Kobster hang around for a little while just to get the Kobster to sweat a little.
The Princess wants to be traded, wants to stay, wants to be traded. The Lakers should not give into her demands easily.

Are you insinuating that it would or could be easy for the Lakers to just trade Kobe? It's extremely difficult to trade a superstar and get decent value in return. Also, Kobe has a no-trade clause in his contract, which means he'd have to approve the team he'd be going to, and the real contenders in the league aren't going to want to give up too many key pieces of their roster to get him. Chicago is the obvious destination, but they're going to have a hard ass time trying to match salaries without involving Ben Wallace (who the Lakers probably won't want). I don't believe for a second that the Lakers have not been getting a feel for what they could get in return for Kobe, but I don't think there will be anything they'll really like.

Whether she likes it or not, the Kobster is going to stay with the Lakers for a while for the reasons you mentioned.
The Lakers traded Shaq and never got anything equal in turn. They are not going to make that mistake again. They probably should have traded the Princess instead of Shaq the first time around. Shooting guards are easier to replace than centers.

The Princess is not the best player in the game. I'd take Tim Duncan over the Princess any day. I also would take LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony as well. Shooting the ball 40 times a game doesn't make you the best player in the game.
The Kobster is one of the top 10 best players, but since she acts like a spoiled Princess, I can think of plenty of other players I like over her.

I don't give a damn who you like and don't like, but if you think Carmelo f'n Anthony is a better player than Kobe Bryant... well, I would say you're a complete and total idiot, but I don't think there was any doubt about that to begin with. Ask anybody with any true knowledge of the game and they will tell you Kobe is the best player in the league right now. No, shooting the ball 40 times a game doesn't make you the best -- being the best offensive player in the game, bar none, as well as an excellent defender (something your boy Lebron knows nothing about), does. Your hatred for Kobe is truly blind, because you have literally NO knowledge of what makes a great player, well, great. By the way, Kobe averaged 22.8 shot attempts this year -- compared to 20.8 for LeBron, and 22.4 for your boy 'Melo. Why don't you attempt to give a VALID reason as to why you don't think Kobe is the best player in the league.

I will give the Kobster a pass on the rape charge as there was too many holes in her story.
But as far as team play goes, the Princess has a long way to go to learn that concept. Plus she is a drama queen when it comes babbling about locker room politics to the press (see Shaq, Karl Malone, and others).
LeBron got his team to the finals without a much of a supporting cast. The Kobster hasn't won a playoff series since she traded away Shaq.

Way to completely ignore such important facts as, I don't know, Kobe plays in the Western Conference which is infinitely tougher than LeBron's Eastern Conference. If you'd replace Kobe with LeBron, the Lakers would not be better than they are now. If you'd put Kobe in the East, whatever team he's on would become an instant contender.
I'm not sure what you mean by "team play," but if I had to ask I'm sure you'd just talk some more about the Shaq situation. Certainly you aren't talking about anything that happens on the court. You seem to ignore those minor details when making your points...
Being a "drama queen" has nothing to do with basketball skill. I'm still waiting for you to make some valid points, pertaining to basketball skill, as to why you don't think Kobe is the best player in the game. You can't. You're a dunce.

The only reason why Kobe had problems with Karl Malone is because Karl was trying to make a pass at Kobe's wife.. Being a Eastern Conference champ is like being the 4th seed in the Western Conference. Calling him 'the princess' maybe funny in elementary school but it's just not funny here, your humor and quality of posts can be found evident in your rep bars. You're being way too generous. San Antonio, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Denver, and Utah are all clearly better teams than Cleveland. I'm not sure the Lakers couldn't have won the Eastern Conference this year, either. I'd say Cleveland would be a 7 or 8 seed in the West.

The first three, granted. However I strongly disagree with your assertion that Houston, Denver, Utah and Los Angeles would have beaten Cleveland. At the least you shouldn't say they are "clearly better." The Cavs are great on the defensive side of the ball and on the glass, and they have one of the league's preeminent players in LeBron James. The only reason they were annihilated by the Spurs is because they play the exact same style, only not as good.

I agree, the first ones are clear but I dont think that Houston could have beat Cleveland or Detroit for that matter especially with Tracy "Choke" McGrady leading the way. I dont see how Denver could easily beat Cleveland either and I defintely dont see them beating Detroit, I just think that would be a bad matchup for them. Los Angeles could be a toss up because it would turn into a 1 on 1 game Kobe vs LBJ. Utah I agree would have probably beat the Cavs but I dont know if they would have done it easily.

I will take almost any talented front court player over a talented backcourt player. Teams get farther in the playoffs with good rebounding and scoring up front. Tim Duncan is also not going to bring any locker room stuff out in the public like the Kobster does. He is also a better leader and doesn't whine like the Princess.
And let's look what happens on the court. Duncan has 4 chmpionships. The Princess has 3, of which if it wasn't for Shaq, she would have none.

The word "talent" is subjective. To me talent is making those around you better. Duncan does this, the Kobster gets a bunch of stats, but not much else.
And if you are comparing Robert Horrey to Tim Duncan than you are the cretin. You seem to be in denial that Tim Duncan is one of the most talented players ever in the NBA. And a great citizen and teammate to boot. Something the Kobster still needs to learn.

You obviously know nothing about basketball. This was apparent when you made the statement that Carmelo Anthony is better than Kobe Bryant. That is the most idiotic statement I've ever seen. An argument could be made for Duncan, and LeBron is close if he works on his defence and consistency.
Also, saying Kobe has done nothing is idiotic. He is one of the most decorated players in NBA history. He has 3 rings. How does having Shaq on his team make them any less of an accomplishment? Name one superstar who has won a championship without a great supporting case or another superstar on the team.
I know that Kobe is everything you hate in this world (I bet you hate Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Michael Vick, etc. also) but he is one of the best players of all-time.
Also, calling Kobe "she", "princess" and whatever other names you created for him do two things:
-Give further proof that you're immature and not capable of discussing things on a level other than name-calling
and
-Discredit your basketball knowledge even more

People forget that the Lakers started this season on a 75% win clip, granted that wouldn't have continued, but they could've broken 53 wins or so and had the potential to be the 4th best team in the conference and the 4th seed if it wasn't for the rash of injuries.
And during that whole time that they were winning, everyone was contributing and the media was licking Kobe's balls calling him the MVP and that he had learned how to share the ball and make his teammates better. Then the injuries hit and Kobe had to revert back to being the top scorer. It'll be interesting to see how the team can perform when healthy this coming year.
There's no real moves they can make other than having someone sign for the midlevel exception. The Garnett trade is all but dead, the Camby trade is a lateral move at best, and the Kidd and O'neal trades are also long dead, its going to essentially be the same team as last season.

I was thinking more in the lines of football acumen and maturity. Two things I have that he doesn't. His knowledge of football consists of how lousy Eli Manning and Michael Vick are, in his mind, and off the field controversies. I, on the other hand, write weekly essays on the NFL season and on a wide variety of subjects. Maturity wise, I don't resort to sophomoric insults and banter.

Wasted??? Hardly. LA is not a place where talent is wasted, considering we have the 2nd most championships...
Phoenix is done in 3 years anyway...
