Given all the annoyances he has caused the world. I think hooking a car battery up to his "twig & berries" would be an apt punishment.

So far our spam e-mails at work have dropped by over 80% since they stopped this bozo. Unbelievable.

spamin is aginst the law?

Sending unsolicited emails is not illegal, but the reason this guy is in trouble is that he was hacking other peoples' computers and using them to send millions of messages. Basically, he fraudulently used other peoples' bandwidth to advertise. It's piracy.

If someone is sending just 1% of the worlds Spam email that is way too much.

But if this psycho is sending apparently over 50% that is just nuts.

What does he gain by doing this?

I signed up for something a couple weeks ago, and now I never stop receiving spam. At least all of it goes into my BULK folder, but it still pisses the hell out of me. For a while I blocked the addresses and requested the sites stop emailing me, but that only lasted for a day or so until they passed my e-mail to several more companies.

I hope with this guy gone, my span will go down. But the odds are that there is another little freak out there ready to take his place.

Nobody likes me.... that's why I never get rep. But it's cool, as after the first few weeks, it got pretty stupid. It's best purpose now is to know who is a "questionable" poster.

Its cool it is no big deal I was really just messing around kinda funny how people got all mad over asking for rep. I was one + rep away from having two bars now I got it I'm happy with that lol.

Would you rather your friends genuinely like you, or would you rather ask them to pretend to like you? Obviously nfldc rep is a very insignificant thing in your life, but seeing as you do enjoy building it, why not make an excellent post rather than ask for rep? It takes a bit more thought and effort, but that will just be reflected in your accumulation of positive rep. Nobody got mad at you. Just annoyed maybe. Ideally, the rep system should raise the collective quality level of the content on this forum. If people want a good rep, they'll limit their spammery and nonsensical posts, and attempt to say something worth reading. To circumvent that system in the pursuit of fake rep is not only fraudulent, it brings down the overall quality of the forum as a whole. Don't get me wrong here, this post isn't directed at just you. I really don't have an issue with you jokingly asking for a point of rep. But if everybody on the forum were to do the same thing, then it would render the system completely useless. Who gives a crap about that one point. Go make a sick ass post about something interesting and see how many legitimate kudos you get for it.

Umm, can I get some rep for that post?

Nah, that's not really what I meant to say. I was just thinking about the whole rep system after I saw yours and Bsaza's posts, and just decided to post my thoughts on it. Like I said, it wasn't necessarily directed at you. Just something for me to post about and see if people agree with me on. It was more directed at the idea of asking for rep. Not as serious a topic as my post would make it seem. I don't think you bring down the quality of the site at all. I'd say the exact opposite.

Its cool like I said no big deal the only reason I asked is I have been one point away from two bars for a long time. I understand 100% about spamming to get your post count up or rep up or what ever. I try to start threads that people like some times I hit some times I miss but I don't spam I'm not saying you said I do just saying.

Back to the spammer...

I think they should castrate the guy and then send him tens of thousands of ****** emails. Nothing like good ol' irony.

Edit - Huh? Can't say Vi-agra?

Maybe you should stop being a Bears fan. More people would like you then.

I usually got about 300 spam emails a week. Now its about 75. You have to be an idiot to actually open them up, unfortunately some people do.
