Who wins the series?
Moses

I hope the Cavs, but it's a complete toss-up right now because nobody has lost at home yet.

The only reason I think the Pistons win is because of home court. I don't think Lebron is the same player without the home crowd behind him.

doesn't that trend kinda lend itself to the pistons?

Cavaliers!!!
This series is two shots away from being a sweep for the Cavs... I think whoever wins tonight will also win Game 6..

Go Cavs! I wanna see LeBron win it all
Ugh.. if LeBron wins a championship.. that means Anderson Varejao will have a Championship Ring.. What a disgrace that would be!

When Maxiell actually plays as much as Eric Snow or Damon Jones, let alone AV, then maybe someone will fear him. Until then hes 6'7 and overweight and only shows up every 50th game.
Teams use to fear the Pistons in general. But I think the Cavs got over it and now are the ones instilling it. Chauncey Billups is making a fool of himself with ever day gone by. Hes also losing money like nothing as he contunually makes me wonder why his name is even "Mr. Big Shot".
heres what Bill Simmons thought on "Mr Big Shot"......
Announcers and studio guys steadfastly continuing to call Chauncey Billups "Mr. Big Shot," quite possibly the most undeserved sports nickname of this century. Here's a quick recap of Chauncey's career:
1997-2001: Bounces around from Boston to Toronto to Denver to Orlando to Minnesota.
2002: Plays well enough for the T-Wolves (0-3 in the '02 playoffs) that Detroit gives him a $30 million contract.
2003: Leads a Pistons team that eventually gets swept in the 2003 Eastern finals by New Jersey … and gets destroyed by Jason Kidd in the process. Billups shot 11 for 40 in the series; Kidd averaged 23.5 points, 7.5 assists and 10 rebounds per game. To be fair, Billups was playing with a sprained ankle. Just pointing out that the "Mr. Big Shot" nickname hadn't kicked in yet.
2004: Shoots 39 percent in the regular season, gets hot in the playoffs, leads the Pistons to the title, makes some big shots along the way, and somehow picks up the name "Mr. Big Shot."
2005: Leads the Pistons to the Finals, makes some big shots along the way, then pulls a relative no-show in Game 7 (13 points, 3 for 8 from the field, no big shots).
2006: Heading into the playoffs, with the Pistons peaking as a 64-win team, I wrote that Billups was "one more killer spring away from moving into the pantheon of Big Game Guards, along with Sam Jones, Jerry West, Dennis Johnson and Walt Frazier. Out of anyone in the playoffs other than Kobe, he's the one who can make the biggest leap historically. Well, unless Artest charges into the stands again."
Didn't happen. During the last three games of the Eastern semis against Cleveland -- which the Pistons nearly blew -- Billups shot 13 for 34. In the six-game loss to Miami in the Eastern finals, he shot 39 percent and 3 for 14 in the deciding game. So much for the pantheon of Big Game Guards.
2007: Struggled in the Chicago series (39 percent shooting), then completely flopped in the first four games of the Cavs series (22-for-57 shooting, 32 turnovers, some killer mistakes at the end of Games 3 and 4), to the point that people are now openly wondering how much money he's costing himself this summer.
So here's my question: With all due respect to Billups -- who's been a valuable player, a gamer and a winner over the past few years -- can we really keep calling a 41 percent career shooter who slapped together one great playoffs and nine-tenths of another great playoffs "Mr. Big Shot"? Isn't that a little insulting to Robert Horry? I vote that we call him "Chauncey" or "Billups" unless he completely redeems himself over these next few weeks. This meeting is adjourned.

dude. if you're gonna hate on a piston, hate on delfino or muhammed. Maxiell is extremely hard working and has been the pistons most consistent post-presence for a while.

It sounds like you more deservingly discribbed AV, in which I chose to defend because he is currently a better player hands down.
And consistencey doesnt include playing and scoring over 15 pts and 15 minutes of play one game and the very next only seeing the court for 3 minutes does it?

Consistently playing 10 minutes a game?

I'm assuming discribbed = described. Who cares if Varejo is the better player, most people know that. There was no reason to hate on Maxiell. Pistons fans hate Varejo because of his flopping.

He didn't really "hate" on Maxiell. He stated a few facts.
Varejao was taught to flop, he grew up in Brazil. You shouldn't hate him because he is just doing whatever he can to help the Cavs win, and flopping is one way to do it. And don't call him a *****, because hitting the floor hard time after time has got to hurt, but he does it anyway.

I just hope the Pistons continue to think they are the Pistons of a few years ago.
Chauncy Billups' comments cracked me up after the game. Some garbage about how they haven't played 100% yet and the Cavs have to play 100% to beat them. Really Chauncy? Four games and you've yet to really try? Might want to work on that. Basically he's either admitting that they are incredibly lazy, or that he's full of his own ****. A lot of Detroit fans (though not so much on here) have the same general attitude too. Sorry, you're not a dynasty, you never were. It's a good hard-nosed team that in all honesty isn't as talented as the Cavs. If it wasn't for the experience factor (and the fact that our coach couldn't lead the Bill Russell Celtics to a championship) I think this series would be over by now.
That being said, I just have a hard time picking Cleveland. It's Cleveland. It's like picking the Titantic to not sink.

If you hate on AV, I wonder what you think of your own players such as Rasheed and Billups constantly making fools of themselves in the media?

Rasheed doesn't make a fool of himself in the media, he just cracks a lot of jokes. Billups is a cocky prick, but that's another story for another day. And how does this have to do with Carrot Flop (stole that from random RealGM Piston fan)?

Lets talk about flops then. How about game 2, when the Pistons won off of Wallaces jumper (you remember), that one where he completely pushed AV down with his arm to get open then made the shot. We should be up 3-1 if it wasnt for that play.
And how can you even bring up flopping when Hamilton does his fair share?

you obviously forgot Rasheeds comment last year after the Cavs beat them, "even the sun shines on a dogs ass once in awhile". etc.. etc... etc.... I can find more?
I know you cant forget the gaurantees, or gauransheeds that Wallace falsely made right?

And his hair*
But I don't want the Pistons, so I guess I'm rooting for the Cavs. It would be good for the NBA as a whole for Lebron to win a ring. I do however really like Rip Hamilton and Sheed on the Pistons.
I don't see either team beating the Spurs though, so any Cav/Piston fan should make Utah their second favorite team asap.

Oh please. Varejao completely oversold that push and if it weren't for his dancing constantly, maybe he would've got the call. And Varejao drew 99 offensive fouls in the regular season despite playing about 25 minutes a game, while Hamilton drew 20. There is absolutely no comparison there at all.

Things don't get called in the NBA based on the person that does the foul. If your known for flopping, your not going to get a questionable call that decides the game.

So does AV really flop or is he just illegally choked that bad all the time? McDyese is lucky Lebron was held back. At the same time the Cavs are lucky he was held back cause he would have been gone to.
Does he really flop or did Billups just completely plow him over when the shot clock was about to run out (still 1.5 secs left when it happened and no foul).
Did he really flop or did Sheed completely stiff arm him to the ground in game 2 to seconds later make the game winning shot for the Pistons?

History has tendency to repeat itself and last year in the 2nd round the Pistons jumped out to a 2-0 lead on the Cavs, but the Cavs came back on won 3 in a row. The Pistons proceded to win the next 2 and head to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Heat. Will it happen agin?
