why not put him at end in a 3-4? seems like an Igor Olshansky type of guy, never gonna do anything great, but solid at his job of holding the line and lettin the lbs makin plays
The difference between Olshansky and Pitoitua is nearly night and day.
Olshansky came out of Oregon at:
6'5 318lbs, running a 4.98 and having 41 bench reps.
Pitoitua ran a 5.29 this spring. he's 6'8 292lbs.
I'm not one to say "He's too big" or "doesn't have the right size". Because there's times when guys like Dwight Freeney or Calais Campbell.
Pitoitua isn't an athletic freak like Campbell or Olshansky. He doesn't have the talent of Olshansky. And being 6'8 you have to play with amazing leverage because you got to drop down further than most other players. Stockier long armed Guards are going to get into his body and literally neutralize him.
Like I said, He could possibly be a good find, but I don't think for his size/frame he's carrying enough weight to be an effective DT.
Not to mention he has a fairly long injury history.
