  • Indiana CB Tracy Porter

What is the general opinion of this guy?

    5'11" 185 lbs.
    4.38 40

Sounds like he's an ace on special teams. I watched him return punts and he looked very smooth and very natural at it.

From a numbers stand-point he looks he's had good production. It looks like he can and will come up in run support based on his number of tackles. He's put up good numbers in terms of passes defensed and interceptions.

I have concerns about his size. It looks like has a frail build similar to Ted Ginn. If he can bulk up and maintain speed he'll be good.

Does anyone know of injury or character concerns? I havn't been able to find anything like that about him. Looks like a good 2nd round prospect to me.

I really like Porter. I haven't seen a ton of Indiana, but I've always came away impressed with him. I'd say he's a solid 2nd Round pick, but could sneak into the late 1st Round because of his return skills.

Pretty good player......more impressed with WR James Hardy though.

I picked an awful day to watch Tracy Porter today. He was just terrible at returning punts. One of the worse return days I've seen.

You must have not watched the rest of the game then because he made a lot of great plays at CB. He had a couple of bad fumbles returning but he isn't a just a return specialist. You should be evaluating how he does at his primary position.

I did watch the rest of the game, and I agree, he was pretty solid at CB. If you would have read the first post, you would realize that he was talking about how Porter is an outstanding returner, but he certainly didn't look the part.
