  • Big 12's BEST Player = Adarius Bowman: WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?

Heading into last year, he was ranked by Sports Illustrated as the BEST player in the Big 12. Did he get injured or what?

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/mul...ontent.10.html

The North Carolina transfer became one of America's finest deep threats in 2006 with a ridiculous average of 19.7 yards per catch. Bowman had one of the most impressive individual performances of the season against North Carolina, catching 13 balls for 300 yards and four touchdowns.

(To the member-thread-police: I don't see a thread about this guy or the Big 12's Best players.... so don't yell about another thread being started by Atari)

Got injured, his QB isnt that good so you could attribute some of his decline to QB play (although i think it was the same QB)

He probably was one of the best players in the Big 12. He had a good season 1,000 yards receiving good YPC and 8 TD's not to bad. Zac Robinson OSU's quarterback is a soph. he had a decent year but didnt help Bowmans cause very much at all. There are many high profile players in the NCAA that are the best players in there division but there talent does not transfer very well to the NFL (common example Colt Brennan). Hes had off field incidents that have resulted in character concerns and his speed is below average.

I still like him as an NFL prospect, he's going to be drafted late and deservedly so, but guys like him and Purify I still like to make an Ernest Wilford type impact for a team.

Isn't Bowman yreally old, for a to-be rookie?
So is this guy going in round 3 or 4, somewhere like that?

Great name though, Adarius.... sounds like a Greek God.

he dropped lots of balls at the senior bowl, people say he is being looked at as a TE or H-Back

Case of the dropsies during Senior Bowl week and horrendous 40 times can kill a WR's stock.

I love the guy I think that he is gonna be a steal for somebody. I know his 40 times are not that fast but They don't have to run a 4.4 to good in the NFL(although i will admit that this would help a WR if they can)

40 times are a bit overrated. The ability to gain separation is the bigger issue with a guy like Bowman, which is why he's really bottomed out. He might work his way back up into the 5th perhaps, but right now, I think he's a late rounder.

He can't get sepeartion, look at Hinze Ward slow but he gets seperation.

He's slow, that's what happened to him. Plain and simple.

Dolphins Dream Draft: 1. Jaylon Smith 2. Artie Burns 3. Landon Turner
