  • Cody Wallace, Center, Texas A&M

He was drafted in the 4th round by the 49ers. Right now he is the backup to C Eric Heitmann. But Heitmann's contract is up after this year, and he didn't have a good year last year.

I've read some scouting reports on Wallace but i wanted to hear fans opinions on him. What are his strengths and weaknesses, and does he have starter potential in the NFL?

might need to spend the year on add good weight to keep his average footwork and bulking up. I don't know how much weight be can put on, but a good 5-10 pounds should help him. If I was the 49ers, I would at least plan on keeping Heitmann for 2-3 years to allow Wallace to develop.

Everywhere I look, this is what I read.

Strengths...he is a leader and he is strong as hell
      480-pound bench press
      374-pound hang clean
      740-pound squat

      Weaknesses
      Slow and struggles in space.
