  • Jenkins & Davis, CB & FS?

How versatile are Malcolm Jenkins and Vontae Davis? How much, if any, have each of these players played outside of CB? Enough to be drafted in the Top 15 as a projection to safety? There are several teams selecting before the current safety class warrants a selection, so I see one of these players being chosen to play safety, or at least be interchangeable between the positions.

I like Jenkins as a FS if he's not in a defense that plays its corners in zone a lot. I don't really see Vontae as a safety at all. He's better at man than Jenkins IMVHO.

    Oldie but a goodie.

If Jenkins runs slow then he may get moved. Davis will stay at corner.

davis will stay at corner and imo bust but thats off topic. Jenkins basicly can do both. he can be a good corner or a great fs imo

        Saints 2014 draft wish list:
        - No pass rusher till the fourth round (or preferably at all)
        - Corner or Wideout in the first
        - No reaching
        - No Kelvin Benjamin

That's exactly what Scott said about Michael Huff just before the 2006 NFL Draft.

          Oldie but a goodie.

Huff was a top 15 pick who blew up into a top 10 pick because of his impressive workouts. Jenkins is a top 10, possibly top 5 pick who can maintain that position or lose it because of a 40 time. Jenkins is a lot more like Antrel Rolle than Michael Huff IMO, though I think he tackles better and has much better ball skills than Rolle.
