How are all these "unofficial" 40 times adjusted? Butler ran a 4.26 unofficially yesterday and it was adjusted to a 4.38, which seems like a fairly big adjustment. I believe Chris Johnson's time last year was actually adjusted lower (4.24) somehow if I remember correctly. I always thought that the time starts as soon as the runner moves in any way so do they just go back and review the tape of all the runs and decide that they started sooner than the unofficial times did? Also, they run twice so is the official time the faster/slower of the two?
