  • best edge rushers of 2010 draft class?

List your top 10 (if there are that many) edge rushing DE and OLB prospects for 2010. How is the class as a whole? Average, good, or bad compared to the last 5 years?

Bumping this because I'm surprised there wasn't more interest.

Of the smallest guys listed in Day One Pick's list, can any of them put their hand in the ground as a 4-3 end in the NFL? Hughes, Sapp, Kindle, Miller, Selvie, and Young all seem pretty undersized, but as we saw last year with hard work and possibly roids a 225 lb. guy can put on 30 lbs. of muscle before the combine. And of course there are some 240ish lb. DEs that do just fine in the NFL.

All the guys that have already been mentioned plus these guys as later round picks.

        O'Brien Schofield Wisconsin
        Rahim Alem LSU
        Jermaine Cunningham Florida
        Auston English Oklahoma
        Broderick Stewart Vanderbilt
        Dexter Davis Arizona State
        Antonio Coleman Auburn
        Eric Moncur Miami FL

If you are just talking speed to the quarterback off the edge I would go with
        Jason Pierre-Paul South Florida
        Jerry Hughes TCU
        Thaddeus Gibson Ohio State JR
        Cliff Matthews South Carolina JR

Those guys are all really quick at the point of attack.

Big big fan of Jeremy Beal, just a good overall football player. Anybody else think he's a second round pick when he comes out?

                Funny, sad, and regrettably true.

I agree this kid is insane off the edge, would love to see him in a 3-4.

You know, I haven't heard anything about him this year. Probably not too well.

Just looked it up - 14 tackles, 0 sacks, 1 FF, no starts. Maybe he's a late bloomer.

Or maybe he just isn't very good and shouldn't have been picked 11th overall.

Hughes and Morgan are the two best edge rushers in this class. I doubt beal comes out, but he is going to be very good at the next level.
