  • Stevenson Sylvester-LB- UTAH

I just watch this kids highlight tape on youtube its pretty impressive. How come we haven't heard much about him. He looks like a really good linebacker. What is your take on him?

watch him in the bowl game against alabama, thats enough to say he could be a terrific 3-4 OLB

He's a bit undersized, but as a football player he's a very intriguing late round option as 3-4 OLB. I think he probably compares best to Brad Jones from Colorado of last year.

In his Tape I see him at both inside and outside. He has great recognition of the plays. I will check out some of the Utah Bowl games to see him. He has good speed off the edge and presence in the middle.

Naw i dont think he is undersized. He is 230lbs and moves very well. There are some starting linebackers in the NFL that are under 230lbs. Micheal Boley is only 225lbs. and is very productive. Gary Bracket is 235lbs. Jonathan Vilma is also 6'1" 230lbs. Undersized I dont think so. He is a very aggressive an Active Linebacker.

In which scheme do you see him in and at what position?

I see him mostly as a 4-3 will backer, so Tha scheme could use is speed better. But his effectiveness coming off Tha edge makes him a nice Hybrid outside linebacker.

He's one of those guys who is small in stature, but plays ALOT bigger than he really is. I could actually see him being a weakside ILB in a 3-4. He seems like he could actually be a good fit there if he puts on like 5 to 10 lbs, and it looks like he could easily do that. I guess he could play the 3-4 OLB, but he would have to add ALOT of weight IMO.

Yea I don't see him as a 3-4 OLB, he's an explosive up the field type of guy but not a pass rusher. Always impresses me when I watch Utah, really explosive, solid instincts, amazing bowl game, blew up a ton of plays. Really don't get why he isn't liked more.

                        That is correct comahan

I guess his hype machine never got going enough...

I like him though and have for a while. He is definitely someone who I'd like the Eagles to consider in the mid-later rounds.

I think he's more suited at MLB in a 34 then OLB.
