  • Late Round Stars

Which players in the late rounds do you think will be gems in the NFL? (Like Tony Romo or Marques Colston?)

IMO, I love Andy Dalton and Curtis Marsh. Could be stars with time. What about you?

I'm a big fan of Nathan Enderle. Also of Ugo Chinesa. I think the reason why he isn't getting talked about more is because of how talented this year's DL class is. He's got good size and is an excellent pass rusher. Two sacks in the Cowboys' bowl game.

I'm liking Zach Hurd out of UConn, too. He just has to be consistent. His feet can go dead and times and he becomes just a big body. But he's got a quick burst and when he's on his game, he's a force.

Vai Taua. RB Nevada. I would love him as a late round pick to bring some depth to NE's backfield. Always a fan of underdog stories at RB. Backs need a source of motivation, a reason to run like their hair is on fire. Everyone is sighting the system as the reason for his success but dude is built, runs with some zip, catches the ball well and would likely excell if he got some good coaching and his chance came at the right time.

          Derrell Johnson-Koulianos, WR, Iowa.

He's going to be a baller, unfortunately legal things came up.

I like Taua an Tyrod as well. Taua seems to be that sort of guy who gives his all on every play, and Taylor has a lot of athletic ability, just seems very inconsistent at times.

I also love Vidal Hazelton. Injuries aside, he's got real talent.

Blackmon could be a 1st or 2nd RD pick... He probably won't last til the 3rd, let alone 6th or 7th.

revisiting this topic, Starting to like hawaii WR Greg Salas as well. a few good WRs i could really get behind.

And I have no reasoning or basis on this, but I like Richard Lapham.

                              Jeff Maehl, WR - Oregon

                              http://blog.oregonlive.com/nfl/2011/...de_receiv.html

Maehl ran the 40-yard dash in a modest 4.62 seconds but countered by posting the fastest times so far in the 3-cone drill (6.42) and the 60-yard shuttle (10.87) and placed second in the 20-yard shuttle (3.94).

Maehl's time in the 3-cone drill is the fastest recorded since the combine became keeping records in 2000.
