I really don't get the QB ratings at all, and really don't get Da’Quan Bowers all the way at #10 or Stephen Paea all the way at #5.

Good work, nice to see Korey Lindsey getting some recognition he is an interesting prospect, same thing with Edmund Gates. Also good to see someone putting Sherrod at the top tackle spot. I see a lot of rankings with him as the 3rd or 4th OT which I'm not so sure about.

Kenny Tate not in your top 15 safeties huh?

      Thx for the read.

        QB Ratings

        1. Ryan Mallet :: He's got the size, arm, and has shown good accuracy while playing in the speed of the SEC. His footwork needs quite a bit of work but given his size it's not impossible to fix. The mental part is the biggest question mark I have with him and the part that makes my #1 ranking on him so hesitant.

        2. Ricky Stanzi :: A quarterback who is good at everything but great at nothing. A smart, experienced kid who is probably most ready to contribute if asked to. Upside isn't the greatest either but he could be slightly better than a game manager, in the mold of a Matt Ryan.

        3. Jake Locker :: His senior year at UW didn't go like he planned but he's still got some skills to work with and the talent around him was always a question mark. Accuracy has always been an issue for him but he also has the mobility that very few offer at the position.

        4. Blaine Gabbert :: The flavor the week when it comes to the overhype train. The skills are there, no doubt, but he has no pocket presence and plenty of work needs to be done on his game to get him to a playable level.

Bowers had a very impressive year at Clemson but I think it's a case where Kerrigan and Jordan are better players, not necessarily on a knock on Bowers.

You are the first person I've seen put Tyrod Taylor in the QB rankings.

Nice work Prince. You're rankings are always a bit different which I can appreciate because I know you put the time in watching these guys.

Also, I love the Taiwan Jones love. I got to watch him a bit throughout the FBS playoffs and on some highlight videos. The guy has an unreal burst and athleticism. We've seen plenty of quality RB's come out of non-FCS/Division 1-A (though EWU could beat several FBS teams) so it that big of a concern. This guy can be a dynamic back in a RBC.

I really like these. Mallett will translate very well into an NFL offense. He has limitted upside, not the usual lack of height or arm strength, but the fact that you have to pass block really well because he's slow as hell and doesn't do anything well when he has to move. I thought Stanzi was high initially, but I'd take him over Gabbert, and after that there is a drop off. I like Dalton over Devlin, but it's close and that's nit picking. It's refreshing to see Cam Newton in a reasonable ranking spot where I think he should be instead of 1 of 2 opinions, all over his nuts or wouldn't even draft him. Ponder at 8 is good too, he's been overrated where I've seen him at 4 or 5, but he's a gamble I might take and should be good value as long as no one reaches.

I quoted these because I like them too. 1-5 is perfect. I love Carimi the beast but he's got some limitations and questions in areas that, if valid, aren't correctable. I don't think it will be an issue but I'm not sure, and that's why I drop him 1 slot. On second thought, I might move Tyron Smith down a few. He projects to LT but played RT and needs to change his playing weight quite a bit. Lots of changes, lots of chance for failure. Costanzo hasn't impressed me and when I see him at 1 or 2 I wonder what player those people are watching ... but it's a weak class so 4 is good. I like Solder a lot but as a RT he's a second class prospect. Don't know much about Watkins so I'll skip him, and Ziemba would be my next choice.

I quoted these because I don't like them. I thought I was a Ryan Kerrigan fan, but give me Bowers or Watt instead every time. Maybe Quinn. Besides that I like the spot you put Quinn in. Clayborn and Heyward are in good spots. I was thinking about them a lot the other day, where they fit. Both 3-4 players. If I'm the Packers, I take Clayborn if I'm drafting the left side but Heyward for the right where Jenkins plays. Similiar with the Steelers, if I was going to replace Smith I'd take Clayborn, on the other side Heyward. Dallas, Heyward either side. Hybrid defense or any defense that moves around lineman, has formations with 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 down lineman would want Heyward, especially teams like Baltimore who play a 3-4/4-3 hybrid or Cleveland that will use 1 down lineman and 6 guys in a 2 point stance once in awhile.

Thanks to BK for the sig
