The 3-cone drill is awfully underrated.

And those times are very good for all 3. In comparison

      AJ Green 6.91
      Julio Jones 6.66

Say what you want about this quarterback class but there are a lot of very athletic QB's at least. Probably the most physically talented group from top to bottom we've seen in a while.

Yeah, Tebow running a 6.66 last year was definitely more impressive than his forty. A lot of times I'd rather have the guy who runs a really fast shuttle and can jump.

I think it translates better to what a QB is asked to do as far as moving in the pocket.

Not to sound homerish about Tebow, but that 3-cone, his 38-inch vert and 1.55 10-yard split really put him in some elite company. I mean, that's a QB you're putting next to Julio Jones, and who explodes from a static position faster than Mark Ingram.

Tebow put up some impressive numbers. These guys too. Throw in Colin Kaepernick with Newton, Locker, and Gabbert, and you have four exceptional athletes (at any position) who throw the ball as hard as anyone on record according to the radar gun.
