  • Jabaal Sheard, DE / OLB, Pitt

Sorry guys, I know there has probably been a thread on him but I'm new to the forum so I'm not exactly sure.

What are your opinions on Sheard? I'm quite high on him and could actually see him turning into a big time sack artist at the next level. Do you guys think he can play the 3-4 OLB position as a pass rushing specialist?

I do. If the premier OLBs are gone by pick 17 then I'd like the Pats to snatch up Sheard in the late 2nd/early 3rd.

Underrated player unless he truly is a dbag.

he's a safer pick to a team like Atlanta... scouts say he is a true 4-3 DE. standing up Sheard is possible but it's a risky conversion to attempt.

I can't see Atlanta taking a player with such question marks off the field.

I think he could play more of a hybrid role, ala Suggs and Hali.

I can't ignore the assault charge. I wouldn't even list him on my big board.

I'm a big proponent of looking at the agility drills and KEI when determining if a college DE can make the transition to a 34 OLB. Romeus hasn't given us any combine material to work with. I'd be hard pressed to take him unless it were an absolute steal a round after he's projected.
