Eh he started as a freshman, and got better as his career went on. By the end of his Sophomore year he was dominating Michigan in the Rose Bowl. His junior year was pretty dominant and would have been a shoo in for the Heisman most years. His stats may not be some of the greatest ever, but he was unstoppable his Junior year, and if I was to try to win a NC I'm not sure if there's any QB I'd take over Young that year.

And Tebow is not the greatest runner ever, it's pretty damn easy to get 4 yards when you have 5 WR and the defense spread completely out and having to worry about Percy Harvin. Half of those great short yardage runs he doesn't get touched until he's 3 yards past the LOS. He's a good runner but Meyer jacks up his stats with all those 2 yard TD runs.

Don't try to say Harvin gets all the credit for Tebow's running. Tebow ran all over Florida State and Alabama last year when Harvin was injured. Weak argument. It's only easy to run up the middle on SEC defenses from a messageboard. It's not so easy on the actual field.

I just remembered another guy, while I was talking to my dad: Jamelle Holieway.

"2,713 yards rushing on 539 attempts (an average of 5.0 yards per carry) and 32 touchdowns. Through the air, he threw 257 times, completing 117 passes for 2,430 yards with 22 touchdowns and 15 interceptions...in 39 games."

By the way, that's Myron Rolle who was smart enough to know he wasn't going to keep Tebow outta the endzone. Rolle probably would have hurt his back and shoulder even trying.
Thank you for showing me one play. Quite insightful.

Vick was almost unfair as a runner in college.

That's sick. I don't care what the stats say, Vick was the best runner ever to play the QB position.

                        I'd take him over Boo.

But as far as rushing MAC QBs go, none of them touched Julian Edelman this past year. Not much of a QB, but Edelman was probably the best rusher from the position in the nation last year.

He was 15th in the nation in rushing yards among all positions. 1370 yards, 13 TD, 6.4 average.
He was shifty and holy balls did he run hard for a small QB. I think the Patriots can do great things with him if he sticks around.

The younger generation of dual MAC Qbs like Harnish and Maynard has me excited.

But, yeah, Edelman is my addition to this thread.

MV7 takes that title in my opinion.

Brad Smith had an almost unheard of career at Missouri. He's definitely gotta be up there.

He wasn't the best, but I used to love watching Reggie McNeal.
