  • The All but Forgotten Sam McGuffie

Anyone else excited to see what McGuffie can bring this year. Remember all those great names he had and the next great white rb....maybe this is the year.

I just happened to see this....at the very bottom of the page....

I also have been paying attention to Sam McGuffie. I watched him against Texas. He had a big mistake early, but was pretty effective overall. He almost looks like he's got the potential to be really good, if he's only quicken up his running style. He just takes too long to get down field - thing is, he's definitely got the speed to do it. He plays like a whirling dervish. It's not only making him get tackled quicker, but I'd think it would make him more prone to injury when he's always stopping and spinning and ****.

He isn't that great at Rb. But catching and running he doesn't seem to bad.

I actually like him more as a receiver. Not to take away all his running plays, but to make wideout his primary postition. He just takes too long to get downfield when he's got the ball. The way he runs, he can make people miss in space, but when he does that running through his hole, everyone's already too close to miss and he feints for a 1-yard loss instead of planting his foot and falling ahead for a gain of 2.

the dude thinks he's going to spin away from, or juke-out, every defender.
