Despite Mallett being somewhat inconsistent I think he had a decent game. It certainly hasn't changed my opinion of him. But I'm just as impressed with Murray. He played very well last week against South Carolina, and besides the interception I think he played rather well. He's going to be one of my favourite prospects in a couple of years...
I like Murray's potential as well. His height scares me a little (6'1) but the kid can play. I definately want to see some more of him.
I still like him too but I don't see him falling out of the top 10. Even if he has a mediocre year, his physical tools are going to get him drafted high. There's always a coach who thinks he can fix the issues and make a great player. Plus there are just so many teams that could realistically need a new QB that there might be a run on them early.
Mallet's issues ARE fixable. I just don't think his talent level matches what Luck and Locker put out there overall. He has the strongest arm in any draft class that doesn't include JaMarcus Russell(and even that is a toss up), but his feel for the passing game and his accuracy are not up to par. Doesn't even have the best physical tools overall in the draft eligible quarterbacks if you factor in Locker's arm/speed combination.
