    College Gameday Thread: Week 6

    Discuss all week 6 games.

Troy/Mid Tenn on Tuesday. UAB/UCF Wednesday. Nebraska/KSU Thursday. UConn/Rutgers on Friday. Hooooooray weekday football.

Some big games this week. BC/NC State, Indiana/OSU and Tenn/UGA are the early games (bleh). Bama @ SCar, Sparty @ Michigan, Arky vs TAMU and Clemson @ UNC are the afternoon games. LSU @ UF and FSU @ Miami should have the state rocking late. USC/Stanford is also a solid late match up.

Thx for the clarification, the OTHER USC. The SCAR defense seemed more than up to the task at hand to me & other Bama fans.

Sorry I called your QB Garcia a douchebag in the heat of the moment Saturday Mothman, but you have to admit the fumbled snap & safety was a douchey thing to do, it let Alabama right back in the game. And still Steve Superior overcame it.

With Tennessee rebuilding from the Kiffin messes left behind & new UGA & Gator players getting arrested or booted from their teams with each new wk, SCAR s/b owning the SEC East this yr. They still can ya know, once everybody in the whole conference gets one or > one loss this season.

Don't think playing an SEC schedule is a minefield? Ask Saban (3rd-ranked recruiting class), Petrino or Meyer (top-ranked recruiting class).

The extra wk. they had to prepare for a very predictable, static Tide offense. Might have had a little something to do with it.

Statistically they are bad sure, but they still probably have one of the most talented.
I'm sure McElroy after all those stops & sacks & the 2 1st team AA RBs on the Tide they made invisible in the 4th qtr. would agree.

I gather by saying he isnt good you're saying the others are good?
Wright might be a third corner in the NFL. Armstead and Morgan are bottom of the roster players in the NFL, if that.

Yeah, USC's defense is really bad this year. Casey's the only good player on that defense, the rest can't do their jobs right.

In what area should USC be considered a "very good" defense? Pass defense? Points per game? Rush defense? Turnovers forced? It's all well and good that every player was a coveted recruit and that they each had nine million stars next to their name by Rivals and Scout, but at the end of the day, they're not a good defense right now. It's really not that complicated. Iowa is a very good defense. Do you know why? Probably because they've actually done something to prove it. Could/will USC's defense ever become good? Sure, more than likely. But right now, they're not. It's really pretty simple.

Instead of telling me to "take a chill pill" without ever addressing my issue, explain to me how USC's defense should be considered "very good". I'll be waiting.
I never one time said that they were good, or they were very good....Not one time did I EVER say they were good. So go back and read my posts. I simply said they are still very talented.....and talent still has its way of making things somewhat difficult.
