***Recruiting Forum Rules - READ BEFORE POSTING***

The recruiting forum has gotten out of hand and we need to fix this right now. I admit that I myself may have slipped up in the past, but not anymore. The recruiting forum is not exempt from the rules for the rest of the forums. This is not a new rule, just a clarification of an existing one.

Links:

No factual information can be posted without a link to the source of that information. This means any time a player commits to a school, names a leader, drops a school from his list, etc. you must provide a link with your post. If you do not have a valid link supporting your information then keep it to yourself. Obviously, you don't need to link to your own personal opinions. Just make it clear that they are your opinions.

Acceptable Sources:

Most online newspapers and websites are acceptable. No premium information (info that you pay for) is to be posted. The only exception to that rule is if the information you are posting is in the header of a premium article, which is free for all to read. If the information is hidden behind the words "click here to subscribe," then don't even bother. Websites such as Buckeye Planet, IrishEvy, and MGoBlog are acceptable. However, only information from the articles/interviews/blog posts from these sites are permissible. Any information obtain on one of these sites' message boards should be assumed to be unreliable (even if you yourself trust it). Anything posted on Facebook is private information and should be treated that way.

Disciplinary Action:

Since this is a fresh reminder, everyone gets one freebie. The first time you break this rule, you will have your post deleted and that is it. If you break it a second time, your post will be deleted and you will get a warning. If you ignore the warning and break it a third time, you will receive an infraction.

Remember, these are Scott Wright's rules not mine. We want everyone to still have fun, but we can't keep ignoring the rules of the website.

Meyer's dominated the state in recent years, but does anyone share my opinion that he'll start to have serious problems with Miami and FSU in terms of recruiting these next few years?

The Canes and Noles seem to be making a comeback (in recruiting, on the field - we'll see). The top South Florida guys seem to be staying in Miami this year. Meanwhile FSU is cleaning up so far.

i wouldnt worry UF got like 10 5 star recruits...and like 10 4 star recruits
while FSU- got like only 1, 5 star recruit and more 2/3 star recruits

Meyer had a real good opportunity when he came in that both Miami and FSU were on downswings. Meyer is a great recruiter and will always recruit great nationally moreso than FSU and Miami. However you cant keep Miami and FSU down forever. Too much talent/history.

Both Miami and FSU will be better teams this year IMO. Especially FSU with Jimbo Fisher.

As you said FSU is absolutely dominating this year in Recruiting, especially considering how many top notch player have yet to committ there, many of whom FSU is their top school.

Define "like"10 recruits. For the 2007 rankings, UF had 4 5 Stars. That's a far cry from 10.

I wouldn't be Suprised if USF got an increased recruiting share.. That would mean they get Central/Bay Area of Florida. Miami will always have South Florida, and Florida and FSU are gonna dog it out for the Pensacola/Jacksonville area. But there's plenty of talent so I wouldn't worry about any of the teams except maybe FSU.

Well you're looking at scout. Scout is almost always way too generous on borderline players. They'd probably rate me a 3 star even though I've never played.

Wow the Pouncey brothers on Florida are clearly not in a hurry to get anywhere. 5.87 and 5.56 in the 40.

                          Scout?

Rivals is way better than Scout, IMO. In fact, Scout is having some serious financial problems because everyone is leaving the network.

Rivals has long been considered to be a cheerleader for FSU and disparaging toward UF.

Scout's not that bad. In some respects they are a lot better than Rivals.....to be specific I mean when they come out with their top 100 players. Their list seems to be better than Rivals, and Rivals is usually more biased towards the west and SE, whereas Scout is very biased towards the southeast. You kinda have to mix the two together to see where a guy should be rated.

But as far as Florida talent, I just hope the Bucks keep bringing in the qualtiy guys they have been so far (Chris Gamble, Nate Salley, Santonio Holmes, Brian Rolle, Mo Wells, Michael Brewster, etc.). FSU is definitely having a great class this year as far as dividing up the florida talent between the big 3 florida schools, so I don't think Meyer will always dominate the state like he did the last 2 years.
