***Recruiting Forum Rules - READ BEFORE POSTING***

The recruiting forum has gotten out of hand and we need to fix this right now. I admit that I myself may have slipped up in the past, but not anymore. The recruiting forum is not exempt from the rules for the rest of the forums. This is not a new rule, just a clarification of an existing one.

Links:

No factual information can be posted without a link to the source of that information. This means any time a player commits to a school, names a leader, drops a school from his list, etc. you must provide a link with your post. If you do not have a valid link supporting your information then keep it to yourself. Obviously, you don't need to link to your own personal opinions. Just make it clear that they are your opinions.

Acceptable Sources:

Most online newspapers and websites are acceptable. No premium information (info that you pay for) is to be posted. The only exception to that rule is if the information you are posting is in the header of a premium article, which is free for all to read. If the information is hidden behind the words "click here to subscribe," then don't even bother. Websites such as Buckeye Planet, IrishEvy, and MGoBlog are acceptable. However, only information from the articles/interviews/blog posts from these sites are permissible. Any information obtain on one of these sites' message boards should be assumed to be unreliable (even if you yourself trust it). Anything posted on Facebook is private information and should be treated that way.

Disciplinary Action:

Since this is a fresh reminder, everyone gets one freebie. The first time you break this rule, you will have your post deleted and that is it. If you break it a second time, your post will be deleted and you will get a warning. If you ignore the warning and break it a third time, you will receive an infraction.

Remember, these are Scott Wright's rules not mine. We want everyone to still have fun, but we can't keep ignoring the rules of the website.

I did read the thread, I made the comment because nobody ever mentioned him going to ND, they mentioned nebraska and wisconsin.

Reading previous posts if you're going to comment in a two-year-old thread always helps.

If a facepalm emoticon was ever needed, this would be it.

Remembering a two year old discussion to pat yourself on the back because one of the backs you touted is doing very well?

Ego and reality do not mix well.

I do not mind dissecting this and that, it is just the minute that a keyboard genius comes across as knowing more than coaches and recruiting gurus who make a living by watching game film day after day. Not only that, but dissecting each and every ounce of information they are given by recruiting camps, gurus, etc., That is something that makes the person throwing out that jabs look completely stupid. I mean, if you want to claim you know quite a bit more than countless recruiting sites and coaches, then that can be your claim to fame on the internet, but I doubt I would want to go down that road.

    Have fun doing that, though.

Settle down. I have to search for recruiting information as a mod on recruiting planet. I came across that site and thought it was pretty jarring the backs that were ranked ahead of Gray. I'm pointing out that an unbiased/insider service is implying that Gray is overrated. Therefore, claims that he's overrated from others are reasonable. Just because I have a reason to be minutely biased doesn't mean I can't refrain from doing so. It's my unbiased opinion that I think he's a bit overrated. Why do you feel an obligation to marginalize and attack fans who have slightly less than a favorable view of one player semi associated with your program?

You have to stop making assumptions. They're making an ass out of you and me.

So they obviously feel he's overrated elsewhere too. Are they bitter he didn't commit to their website?
So essentially, you are relying on a website that based two RB's ahead of Jonas, based on what?

You know, it is funny, but the one (and only) website you list contradicts earlier what you said about him being a homerun threat. So which is it? You want to trust a website that contradicts your own evaluation or not?

Heck, lets not even talk about how Mark Dantonio, Lloyd Carr, Bill Callahan, Urban Meyer, Steve Kragthorpe, etc., disagree with your judgment as well.

BTW -- Rivals, Scout, ESPN, Jim Stefani, Max Emfinger, PrepStar, Tom Lemming and Army (who named him a preseason All-American) ALL disagree with your assessment as well . :)

I mean, it is really sad that you brought up a 2 week old thread after you found ONE website who believes Jonas is overrated. Pat yourself on the back and move on. Geez.

I always liked him and wanted him at PSU, but the coaches didn't feel the same way. They had written offers out to 12 other backs over him.

Maybe he ran a 4.35, but he's not that game fast. He was in the 4.5's at first, maybe he got one of those Combine trainers.

I don't think his 4.3 time is legit. Although he did run it at a Michigan camp, he didn't do it at the NIKE Camp where times are more likely to be accurate.

You should know of Jonas though. I think he is the 35th (somewhere in the 30's anyways) in the Rivals rankings.
