Out of curiosity why Carlson over Nicks for the Jets? Nicks seems like a nice fit for what we need and protecting Clemens will probably be more important than giving him weapons at this point IMO. Beyond that, the starter Clemens has the best chemistry with is probably Chris Baker, our current starting TE. First two picks are solid...

Two CB's for Detroit in the first two rounds.

Yes, we need two CB's but we won't be starting two rookies.

Give us Mike Jenkins and Derrick Harvey.

The only good pick is the Campbell one. Why would we spend a third round pick on the position we have the most stability at?

Okay 1st for the Ravens, I'd prefer Erin Henderson in round 2, but I'll take Merling. GOOD Texans draft.

Not a fan of the Giants mock. We need to address DB in Round 1 IMO

Well just ponder this for a moment. In the first round the Giants get a versatile offensive linemen who can play 4 of the 5 offensive line positions. Because of some injuries during the season Baker was passed up by some other really good OT's, so the need/value works out really well here. A DB here would in some minds be a bit of a reach.

In the 2nd round you fill a need and again get pretty good value in Cal safety Thomas DeCoud. DeCoud had a good Senior Bowl week and proved he can step in immediatly and cover the slot while he's being groomed to start at safety.

In the 3rd you arguably the best return man in the draft and a guy who can be a pretty good slot receiver. It won't be long before Steve Smith is the #2 across from Burress and you'll need a guy in the slot.

Sound any better now? It seems like a sensible draft for a team that is already good. Similar to the Patriots they can start adding role players who in the end make all the difference in the world.

Outstanding. I wasn't sold on Davis in the first until you showed me Hardy in the third. That's perfect. Plus, we get a great MLB in Goff, something we've needed for awhile.
