  • SUPER BOWL Saturday Mock

    1. Miami Dolphins - DE Chris Long
Versatility is a big reason why he'll go #1. He can play DE, UT, and OLB.

    2. St. Louis Rams - DT Sedrick Ellis
Go with the top Defensive player on the board. Will bring an interior pass rush. If they move to a 3-4 he can play NT.

    3. Oakland Raiders - RB Darren McFadden
Raiders go with the BPA to help improve a struggling offense.

    4. Kansas City Chiefs - LT Jake Long
    Easy pick here.

    5. Atlanta Falcons - QB Matt Ryan
Sorry Falcons fans. If Jake Long was here the Falcons would take him but ATL get their franchise QB.

    6. New York Jets - DE/NT Glenn Dorsey
Gholston maybe a better fit but they need help on the D-Line. Mangini will take the Pats strategy and take DL in the 1st round. Dorsey not the best fit but will be effective as a 3-4 DE or NT.

    7. New England Patriots - DE/OLB Vernon Gholston
Great Fit. Big, aggresive player who'll bring youth to an aging group of LB's/.

    8. Baltimore Ravens - CB Leodis McKelvin
They go with the top CB in the draft.

    9. Cincinnati Bengals - DE Derrick Harvey
LB is a need but they need to get some kind of pass rush. Also Justin Smith may leave in FA.

    10. New Orleans Saints - OLB Keith Rivers
Saints will be glad to help their D and take Rivers here.

    11. Buffalo Bills - CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
The Bills get a very talented CB who can help them right away.

    12. Denver Broncos - LT Ryan Clady
Lepsis is gone so the Broncos get a big athletic guy to replace him at LT.

    13. Carolina Panthers - LT Chris Williams
OT is the Panthers biggest need. They may look at Phillips here but Williams gets the nod.

    14. Chicago Bears - OT Carl Nicks
Nicks looked great in Senior Bowl. He is a very big guy who can play RT but has the athletism to eventually move to LT.

    15. Detroit Lions - DE Calais Campbell
The Lions have always liked drafting the most talented players. Campbell can play LDE and help improve the pass rush.

    16. Arizona Cardinals - RB Jonathan Stewart
Cards go with the BPA and an RB who can takeover for Edge.

    17. Minnesota Vikings - S Kenny Phillips
Minnesota is very lucky that Phillips fell to them. They will not hesitate to take him.

    18. Houston Texans - RB Rashard Mendenhall
They need a RB who can carry the load.

    19. Philadelphia Eagles - CB/S Mike Jenkins
Is versatile and can play CB and S.

    20. Tampa Bay Buccanears - WR DeSean Jackson
Gruden loves talented players so the Bucs bring youth to the WR and get a KR/PR.

    21. Washington Redskins - WR Malcolm Kelly
Skins have a couple needs but they take the tall WR they need.

    22. Dallas Cowboys - CB/S Reggie Smith
Cowboys need a S and CB. Smith can play both.

    23. Pittsubrg Steelers - OT Jeff Otah
Easy pick here. Good value for the Steelers.

    24. Tennessee Titans - DT Kentwan Balmer
If Haynesworth leaves DT will be a bigger need. Even if he stays they need a good UT.

    25. Seattle Seahawks - RB Felix Jones
Seahawks get their RB. Felix can contribute right away as a KR.

    26. Jacksonville Jaguars - DE Phillip Merling
Jags take the Top DE availible here.

    27. San Diego Chargers - NT/DE Pat Sims
The Chargers have no immediate needs so they take a big athletic guy who can play NT or DE in a 3-4.

    28. Dallas Cowboys - WR Mario Manningham
Get some youth at WR here.

    29. San Francisco 49ers - RT Gosder Cherilus
49ers can move Staley to LT and play Cherilus at RT.

    30. Green Bay Packers - CB Patrick Lee
The Pack get fast, physical CB.

    31. New York Giants - WLB Curtis Lofton
Lofton can flat out play. If he runs well at the combine he could go higher.

Not a lot of value with Nicks as a mid first rounder.

I like Mike Jenkins better than Rodgers-Cromartie.

I don't think it's as big as you think. Right now he is thought as a late 1st-early 2nd. He had a great week at Senior Bowl. Nicks is very athletic for a guy his size and also has great strength. After the combine, I think his stock will continue to rise. In my opinion, Nicks has the highest upside of any OT in the draft.

Lofton isn't fast enough to play WLB in a 4-3. Maybe he will prove me wrong at the combine, but for now he is strictly meant for the inside.

I'm really interested in his 40 time. I've heard high 4.6's but he's play very fast. Maybe it's his instincts compensate for his speed or maybe he's just fast. Can't wait to see.
