I'll be honest, I don't like us (Chiefs) passing on Jake Long if he's there at 5. Defensive tackle is a need for us, but there is no need greater than the offensive line.

I agree...i dont even like Dorsey that much. But seems every1 is so high on him, i thought he would be the best value. Plus there is some good tackles to be had in round 2, so you shouldnt lose out.

I do agree that there is going to be some talent on the offensive line in the second and third rounds, and I will also agree that getting a great DT on our line to go alongside Tank Tyler, Tamba Hali and Jared Allen would be nice, but the Chiefs, to me, are a weird team. A pretty solid defense overall, our offense slipped massively on overall offense and rushing, 31st and 32nd respectively.

While I would not really be upset at us taking Dorsey, we've had really bad judgement calls when it comes to offensive line the last few years. When future Hall of Famers retire, and you do nothing to fix that line, there is a problem.

I'm just rambling now. Like I said, I wouldn't be upset at Dorsey or Ellis at the 5th pick, but if Long is there, I would much rather see us try SOMETHING to fix that line. Who knows how much longer Brian Waters or Casey Wiegmann will be playing?

Overall, I think you did a great job with this mock and look forward to reading a post-combine one.
