  • Too tired to do 3 rounds (w/ explanations)

1 Carolina Panthers - Nick Fairley DT Auburn
They will be running an attacking style 4-3 and Fairley would be a great fit there.

2 Denver Broncos - Patrick Peterson CB LSU
-Even if they resign Champ, he is 32 years old going on 33.

3 Buffalo Bills - Blaine Gabbert QB Missouri
-They need a QB to revitalize the franchise.

4 Cincinnati Bengals - A.J. Green WR Georgia
-They already have some young WR's, but no one with the #1 potential that AJ has.

5 Arizona Cardinals - Von Miller 3-4 OLB Texas A&M
-Seems like the explosive pass rusher they've been wanting for a while now.

6 Cleveland Browns - Da'Quan Bowers DE Clemson
They are switching over to a 4-3 now and Bowers already has experience playing in an orange uniform :)

7 San Francisco 49ers - Cameron Newton QB Auburn
-The Alex Smith experiment is over. About 3 years ago.

8 Tennessee Titans - Ryan Mallett QB Arkansas
    -Vince Young won't be back.

9 Dallas Cowboys - Marcell Dareus 3-4 DE Alabama
Their defense hasn't scared anyone in a while.

10 Washington Redskins - Jonathan Baldwin WR Pittsburgh
You know Shanahan couldn't have been happy with that offense.

11 Houston Texans - Prince Amukamara CB Nebraska
-The Texans would love it to see him fall to their spot.

12 Minnesota Vikings - Robert Quinn DE North Carolina
-They rely heavily on the defensive line and Quinn could be Pepper's like in their Cover-2

13 Detroit Lions - Derek Sherrod OL Mississippi St.
Jeff Backus played really well this year but he is 33 going on 34 next year. Sherrod can handle the guard position until Backus retires.

14 St. Louis Rams - Julio Jones WR Alabama
-Sam Bradford played well despite his revolving WR Corps

15 Miami Dolphins - Mark Ingram RB Alabama
-Seems quite redundant, but it just makes too much sense

16 Jacksonville Jaguars - Aldon Smith DE Missouri
-It might be a tough to rely on Kampman coming back from those knee injuries.

17 New England Patriots (via Oakland) - Cameron Heyward 3-4 DE Ohio St.
-Team captain who could replace Richard Seymour

18 San Diego Chargers - Cameron Jordan 3-4 DE California
-This team will never be elite until they rebuild their defense

19 New York Giants - Tyron Smith LT USC
-It just doesn't seem like the team has much confidence in David Diehl.

20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Justin Houston DE Georgia
-They are rebuilding that defensive line and a pass rush threat would make it lethal

21 Kansas City Chiefs - Phil Taylor 3-4 DT Baylor
-Taylor's stock is going crazy and some team will want to nab him before he hits the 2nd round.

22 Indianapolis Colts - Nate Solder LT Colorado
    -Peyton can't block for himself

23 Philadelphia Eagles - Brandon Harris CB Miami
-Their current cornerbacks might not fit their new coordinator's liking.

    24. New Orleans Saints - Adrian Clayborn DL Iowa
-Can play multiple positions on their needy D-Line

25 Seattle Seahawks - Jake Locker QB Washington
Would be tough for them to pass on him.

    26 Baltimore Ravens - J.J. Watt 3-4 DE Wisconsin

    27. Atlanta Falcons - Ryan Kerrigan DE Purdue
-Would add an elite presence across John Abraham

    28. New England Patriots - Danny Watkins OL Baylor
-Could provide some versatility depending if Light or Logans leave this offseason

    29. Chicago Bears - Anthony Castonzo LT Boston College
-The team is at its best when it is opening holes for Matt Forte

    30. New York Jets - Jabaal Sheard 3-4 OLB Pittsburgh
-They put a value on the pass rush and Sheard could erase the Gholston fiasco.

    31. Green Bay Packers - Brandon Burton CB Utah
-Ted Thompson loves cornerbacks with some size

    32. Pittsburgh Steelers -Mike Pouncey OL Florida
-Pouncey might get overdrafted because of his brother's success, but it would be awesome to see the two brothers play in the NFL together.

    ROUND TWO
Pick 33: New England Patriots (via Carolina): Brooks Reed 3-4 OLB Arizona
-Might be a surprise to see him this high, but he'd be an interesting fit

Pick 34: Cincinatti Bengals: Mikel LeShoure RB Illinois
-They are a different team when they can run the ball effectively

Pick 35: Buffalo Bills: Kyle Rudolph TE Notre Dame
-I can't remember the last time they've had a threat at the TE position.

Pick 36: Denver Broncos: Akeem Ayers SLB UCLA
-They'll be needing the linebackers to transition back to a 4-3.

Pick 37: Cleveland Browns: Corey Luiget DT Illinois
-Like I said earlier, they are transitioning to a 4-3 and they'll need more of a penatrating UT to team with Bowers.

Pick 38: Arizona Cardinals: Jimmy Smith CB Colorado
-Look for them to grab a cornerback in the second if they do not opt for one in the first

Pick 39: Detroit Lions: Aaron Williams CB Texas
-They have a lot of depth players, but no one with #1 potential

Pick 40: Minnesota Vikings: Christian Ponder QB Florida St.
-Joe Webb has looked good in a couple of appearances, but it might be a big risk to rely on him as the quarterback of the future

Pick 41: Houston Texans: Muhammed Wilkerson 3-4 DE Temple
-It is debateable if they have the personell required to translate into the 3-4. Wilkerson will help out them out in that department.

Pick 42: Washington Redskins: Jason Pinkston OG Pittsburgh
-They still need major help along the offensive line

Pick 43: Dallas Cowboys: Marcus Cannon OL TCU
-Seems like the big type OL the Jerrah prefers.

Pick 44: Tennessee Titans: Stephen Paea DT Oregon St.
-They just can't seem to stay healthy at this position, and it they rely on their defensive line a lot in general.

Pick 45: San Francisco 49ers: Davon House CB New Mexico St.
    -Talk about an aging secondary.

Pick 46: Denver Broncos (via Miami): Martez Wilson MLB Illinois
-They would be spending their first three picks on defense, but they need it.

Pick 47: St. Louis Rams: Rodney Hudson OG FSU
-They've invested some high draft picks on the tackle position and will look to do the same at the guard position.

Pick 48: Oakland Raiders: Torrey Smith WR Maryland
-It'd be hard for me to believe that Al would pass on someone with this freakish ability if he lasts this long.

Pick 49: Jacksonville Jaguars: Bruce Carter WLB North Carolina
-They could use someone that puts some fear into opposing offsenses.

Pick 50: San Diego Chargers: Leonard Hankerson WR Miami
-It's tough to believe that both Vincent Jackson and Malcolm Floyd will be back next season.

Pick 51: Tampay Bay Bucaneers: Gabe Carimi RT Wisconsin
-Jeremy Trueblood has been a horrible dissapointment

Pick 52: New York Giants: Stefen Wisnieski OL Penn St.

Pick 53: Indianpolis Colts: Drake Nevis DT LSU
-Polian has a history of taking DTs around this area in the draft

Pick 54: New Orlean Saints: Dontay Moch WLB Michigan St.
    -Speed kills

Pick 55: Kansas City Chiefs: Jerrel Jernigan WR Troy
    -Nice compliment to Bowe

Pick 56: Philadelphia Eagles: Benjamin Ijalana OG Villanova
-They aren't afraid of taking local talents, and he is the type of lineman Andy Reid loves.

Pick 57: Baltimore Ravens: Titus Young WR Boise St.
-Would stretch the field and take over for Mason whenever he hangs it up

Pick 58: Atlanta Falcons: Luke Stocker TE Tennessee
-Tony G. doesn't have much longer

Pick 59: New England Patriots: Johnny Patrick CB Louisville
-They don't have much behind McCourty.

Pick 60: Chicago Bears: DeMarcus Love OL Arkansas
-The offensive line just needs an infusion of talent

Pick 61: San Diego Chargers (via NY Jets): Christian Ballard 3-4 DE Iowa
-Even if they draft a DE in the first round, Castillo has had trouble staying healthy.

Pick 63: Green Bay Packers: Jeremy Beal 3-4 OLB Oklahoma

Pick 64: Pittsburgh Steelers: Curtis Brown CB Texas
-Seem to be lacking cornerback depth

Interesting 49ers pick.Though I think with prince still on the board we nag him up in round 1 unless JH likes Newton otherwise its going to be Alex Smith all over again or not who knows with Newton .

I would be alright with this Vikings mock. Ponder would be fine in the second, and Quinn is awesome value in the first. We didn't address either the secondary or the o-line, but we got two good players, one whom I would consider a blue chip talent.

theres no way kerrigan falls to 27. i am pretty confident the pats would draft kerrigan over heyward, even though heyward would be a great pick and a great fit. I love Watkins as a fit for us, but he isnt a first round prospect. He is a guy I think we could pick up at the end of Round 2. The Patriots do have players behind McCourty... his name is Leigh Bodden. McCourty/Bodden are locked in as a starters next year, with Darius Butler (sigh) and kyle arrington playing nickel and backing up, who played well for us this year. I think a more likely person to get selected to play in the nickel for us in Ahmad Black, who apparently the Patriots were obsessed with at the senior bowl. he could be a possibility at the end of round 2/early round 3

Thanks to BoneKrusher for this amazing sig!

                    No. NO NO NO.

What we got was roughly 865487635x better than that.

Nevis in the 2nd is great but Solder is not a good fit for the Colts.

                        Love Ingram.

Dolphins Dream Draft: 1. Jaylon Smith 2. Artie Burns 3. Landon Turner

Danny Watkins is 27 years old so I don't think he's going to be a first round pick, even though I've heard New England likes him. Stefen Wisniewski would be a good pick there - center is probably the team's biggest offensive need. Ditto for Brooks Reed. Personally, I'd rather take Kerrigan at #17 (better prospect than Heyward in my opinion) and then Muhammad Wilkerson at #33 (better prospect than Reed in my opinion.) Leigh Bodden will be back next year so I don't think they'd take a cornerback that high either. Jonathan Wilhite looked good in the slot prior to getting hurt, and he'll likely move to the dime next year with Arrington playing the slot (where he seems like a perfect fit.) Darius Butler is also around for depth. Definitely a lot of guys I could see New England being interested in though. Nice work.

I like him but no way do I like taking him in the 1st round.

I see Aldon Smith too much as a 3-4 OLB/DE...With Cameron Jordan still open there...I see him as much more of a 4-3 DE than Aldon Smith will ever be. Jordan played right next to Alualu at Cal and they would be ridiculous back together

                              Thanks BoneKrusher
