  • RavenOfProphecy's March 6th Two-Round Mock Draft!

A couple rounds I just came up with...focused a little less on getting players into their projected draft ranges and instead tried to match up teams with good fits/values. A few players slide but overall I think it looks pretty good. My first mock draft with Cam Newton going #1 overall...hopefully Carolina decides to go in another direction on draft day. Constructive criticism is always appreciated!

Give the Pats J.Houston over Wilkerson and the mock would be sex.
No need for two DE's in the first round. If you think we need added depth due to you thinking T.Warren isn't returning as his full potential then a DE later in the draft makes more sense.
Two in the 1st doesn't make sense when we have so many other needs.

I don't know if we can really count on Ty and in the past New England has drafted defensive linemen in advance (Wilfork behind Washington, Hill behind Seymour, etc.) I really like the idea of completing the defensive line overhaul. Yes, no pass rusher would suck, but I just didn't love the value at any point. I'm not sure New England would take Houston.

How does Aaron Williams go ahead of Brandon Harris?

System fit. I have them with pretty similar grades, but Green Bay usually goes for taller, more physical corners. Harris measured in at 5'9" at the combine and isn't as physical at the line as Williams is. I've seen Harris lined up 15 yards off of the line of scrimmage at times.

                Seattle

Wouldnt mind an Edmund Gates in the second for Jake to throw to but corner is certainly a need.

your saints mock, I like it

                    Saints 2014 draft wish list:
                    - No pass rusher till the fourth round (or preferably at all)
                    - Corner or Wideout in the first
                    - No reaching
                    - No Kelvin Benjamin

Yup I like this SF draft as well, however, I would draft WR Leonard Hankerson instead for a big time slot guy.

I really don't see Taylor going to Kansas City...way too many flags for Pioli. Houston I can kind of see, but I decided to stick with the seniors/team captains MO and take Castonzo, who is really pretty much everything Pioli looks for. Keep an eye out for Derek Sherrod too, who's from the SEC, which could be the tiebreaker between him and Castonzo.
