  • APS's First Mock of the Year

I usually try and do three pre-draft every year, but this year around might have to be only two. Came out kind of funny but I really like it.

    9. Dallas Cowboys - Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska
    10. Washington Redskins - Cameron Newton, QB, Auburn
    11. Houston Texans - Julio Jones, WR, Alabama
    12. Minnesota Vikings - Aldon Smith, DE, Missouri
    13. Detroit Lions - JJ Watt, DE, Wisconsin
    14. St. Louis Rams - Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois
    15. Miami Dolphins - Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama
    16. Jacksonville Jaguars - Cameron Jordan, DE, Cal
    17. New England Patriots - Mike Pouncey, OL, Florida
    18. San Diego Chargers - Muhammed Wilkerson, DE, Temple

    20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Ryan Kerrigan, DE, Purdue
    21. Kansas City Chiefs - Phil Taylor, DT, Baylor
    22. Indianapolis Colts - Nate Solder, OT, Colorado
    23. Philadelphia Eagles - Brandon Harris, CB, Miami

    25. Seattle Seahawks - Jake Locker, QB, Washington
    26. Baltimore Ravens - Justin Houston, LB, Georgia

I'd be pretty depressed if we passed on Ryan Kerrigan but considering the risk of projecting a player from a 4-3 end spot to a 3-4 linebacker spot, that looks like a realistic Patriots draft, and I'd definitely be pleased with the additions. Anthony Castonzo or Akeem Ayers would make for a great pick at #33 overall. Ayers fills a bigger need but I'd go with Castonzo, as he's pretty much tailor-made for the Patriots. Realistically though, he won't make it outside of the top 20-22 picks.

I like Sheard to the Jets as something different that I haven't seen much if at all. Think he's good enough to be a legitimate late first round option, fills a need, and is a schematic/play style fit.

Stephen Paea is such a reach in round 1, especially with Cam Heyward still on the board.

Peterson #1 overall is terrible. Stopped reading after that.

Why is that so terrible man?It one step into rebuilding their defense which is a far more need then QB,I think they give Clausen one more year to pan out.On a side excellent 9ers pick!

                Miami pick works for me.

Dolphins Dream Draft: 1. Jaylon Smith 2. Artie Burns 3. Landon Turner
