Honestly, in my opinion, no. We made the same mistakes against Cincy (in the Dome), Baltimore (in the Dome), and at Pittsburgh and ended up with the same result.

    2) If you're a hot-shot Heismann winner, show some class and don't taunt your opponent in their stadium, while they're still ahead. You're just giving them more motivation to spank your butt.
Oh, please. People are making that celebration out to something bigger than it actually was.

"I got caught up in the emotion of the game," said Bush, who said he didn't know who was chasing him. "I was excited. I told coach Payton I apologize for it. I was wrong. I allowed my emotions to take over."

Interesting. this comes AFTER the dance too. so i guess the emotions forced a grown man to do a jig? Hmmm.
Dude Hester did the same crap against the Rams on their turf. I'm over it, he shouldn't have done it, oh well, he apologized, move on.
    1. Rams game wasn't a playoff game
    2. Rams D is never called the best in the NFL
    3. Bears were winning after that TD
    4. Hester didn't taunt a former MVP
    5. Hester didn't do a little jig after his TD

Reggie pissed off the D after that display of disrespect. Total pts after Reggie's Riverdance: 0
But Hester taunted the St. Louis player into the endzone and did the Primetime high step.

Whether or not you're losing, winning, or tied; you just don't do it. Just run into the endzone, act like you've been there before. I'm an old school fan and I'm not big on celebrations. I idolize #34 and how he used to just hand the ball to the ref after he scored.

Plus Devin did it in their house. What both Bush and Hester did was classless; and I hope they've both learned their lessons. So you cannot get mad at Reggie unless you got mad at Devin, because he did the same god damn thing. Sure it wasn't a playoff game and we were winning, but it doesn't make it valid to do.
Thank you. To me, it doesn't bother me in the least.. simply because A) football is a game of emotion and sometimes you let your emotions get the best of you. Regardless. Not to mention that I could see why Bush celebrated in the first place.

    1. He just made the entire mighty (I'm not using 'mighty' to be sarcastic either) look completely silly.
    2. He smoked one of arguably the best LBs in the game (not one-on-one, mind you, but still).
    3. Turn of momentum.

But, whatever. Like I said, I don't think it was a big deal but I can also see why it would have gave the Bears' defense more incentive to clamp down. *shrugs*
I'd expect Reggie to be able out run Urlacher in a dead sprint. Reggie is a 4.3 guy, Brian is about a 4.45 to 4.5 guy. Manning and Tillman got smoked on that play. It was a nice move by Reggie, but that TD should've never happened.

Oh well, we won so I'm not going to ***** about it that much but it can't happen against the Colts.

    • If the D needed Reggie Bush to showboat inorder to convince them they should play lights out in a playoff game, Id be seriously dissapointed in them.

As far as Bush burning Urlacher, you do realize Urlacher is 255-260 lbs and the fact that he was anywhere close to Bush after being half way across the field is more a testament to his freakishness than Bush's athletic ability.

Also I couldnt believe Rivera had the guts to put Urlacher at cornerback one on one with Bush in pass with no safety help. I would have liked to see how that play played out but Brees didnt test it.

Urlacher was all over Bush on that play. I would've dared Brees to throw that ball. It was pretty sweet to watch Bush try a stop and go too and Urlacher didn't buy it.

Urlacher's dynamicness is just amazing. (and yes I said dynamicness)

        • I think the Bears got a good shot in the Superbowl. I'm not a Bears fan, per se, but you can't just judge them by their record. The way they simply crushed some teams was very impressive. Sure they had their bad moments, but loosing players like Harris would hurt any team and they needed their adjustment period after Harris went out. I don't remember the Saint's crushing any opponents in their schedule in the same manner as the Bears. It's true that the AFC has more quality teams, but to think that the Bears who absolutely dominated most of the season can't hang against the AFC just doesn't make sense. The Bears can take the title this yr. but that won't mean that the NFC is the better conference. When all is said and done I think this season has been filled with alot of great football and as a fan. I'm loving it.

If I remember correctly the look on Bush's face when Urlacher didnt bite on the stop and go and kept stride with him was priceless. :D

              • bush's taunt had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. they drove down the field the next drive but missed a FG. bears went 3 and out. maynard pinned them deep. then brees got a dumb safety. that is what swung the momentum back to chicago. to think that chicago played any harder after that than they were already is stupid.

i like what bush and hester did. but if you got a problem with one then you have to have a problem with the other. where, when, why, and who they did it to is irrelevant.
