The Bucs were in "good hands with Alstott."

Great guy. Always one of my favorites not on the G-Men. I always loved when Chris Berman would make those noises in the highlights where like 5 people would bounce of him Alstott.

Looks like they jumped the gun.

TAMPA, FLORIDA (TICKER) -- Mike Alstott apparently is not ready to call it a career.

The six-time Pro Bowl fullback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will miss the upcoming season with a neck injury, the team announced Thursday.

Multiple reports earlier Thursday stated that Alstott was retiring. Instead, the team placed him on injured reserve.

Still sad to hear, was my favorite back to watch when he was healthy and in his prime, He would just run over the Packers when they had the "Battle of the Bays" Game when they where in the same division. :(

I used to be a huge Alstott fan, i even think i had one of those cheap jerseys of him.

Such a shame to have the A-Train gone. Not only do the Bucs lose a FB, but they lose a valuable short yardage guy. B.J. Askew better be up to scratch.
