I feel like those stats are subjective.

Tom Brady nowhere on there at all, must be a pretty average quarterback, not good but not bad at anything :D

I guess David Carr is one of the best QBs in the league along with Chris Simms and Andrew Walter...

Football Outsiders also said this gem when ranking coaching staffs:

"Giants fired defensive coordinator Tim Lewis, their best coach"

Walter has soo few "bad passes" and least "tipped" because he's too busy fumbling the ball most of the time anyways...

I like how one of the Raider QB's are on each of the fewest lists... Granted SubNoize is right Walter didn't really throw it he just fumbled it.

I do like the stats though, interesting.

yeah hard to tip or bat the ball down when it's on the ground already...

                  Same with Garrard.

Which shows how pointless metrics really are.

It's even more interesting that no one here actually took the time to read the article.

Yes, the same article that explains 'why' they measure what they measure and also includes about 2x as many stats as Mr. Stiller decided to cherry pick.

For instance, he didn't post the stats on 'passes defenced' which accounts for quarterbacks throwing into coverage as opposed to throwing to the open man.

You guys may want to read the articles instead of blindly stating 'it shows how useless metrics are'.

I think what it shows is how a poster can manipulate the stats to derive any conclusion they desire if they do not include all of the data.

I read the article and I don't care for any of their stats in all honesty.

Disagreeing with them is fine. It's all a matter of opinion anyway. However, the people that just blindly quip and reduce all metrics to garbage based on incomplete information reduces the intelligent discussion on this site a good deal.

Football metrics... This proves my point.

Its hard to knock Andrew Walter when he was either sacked or running for his life. Put him behind a decent offensive line then lets see what the kid can do.
