  • My team-by-team top ten player rankings

All right, after seeing Peter King's embarassingly bad top 500 players list, I felt obligated to make a top 500 list of my own. I decided that the easiest way to do this would be to compile a team by team top ten list, and then turn that into a top 500 list later. I consider myself pretty knowledgable, but unfortunately, I can't watch every game, so I'm sure there are mistakes. Please point out any GLARING mistakes/omissions that you see with your own team, so I can continue towards my top 500 list. I'm not going to listen to every criticism, since this IS my own list, but I'd like a little help.

Rookies should be left off untill after the regular season. But otherwise good work.

I tried not to include too many rookies. I think Carriker is the lowest drafted player on the list. If I did include a rookie, it's the result of the team's lack of the talent or just a case of that player being too talented not to include.

Your Atlanta top-10 is a lot different than mine:

        1. Alge Crumpler
        2. John Abraham
        3. Rod Coleman
        4. DeAngelo Hall
        5. Kynan Forney
        6. Michael Boley
        7. Jerious Norwood
        8. Keith Brooking
        9. Justin Blalock
        10. Jamaal Anderson

Am I missing something ? Or do you just not like QB's

Immediately I feel that Favre, Kitna, McNair and Cutler are all in their teams top 10.

I know a lot of people hate him for whatever reason, but Jon Kitna is one of the Lions top 10 players. I'd actually probably put him #5 or #6 on your list. Switch Roy Williams and Shaun Rogers (since Rogers is almost never motivated) and plug Jon Kitna into the middle of that list and it'd probably be identical to mine.

                Love your sig.

I think Grady Jackson needs to be somewhere there. Maybe knock off Jamaal Anderson.

Now that I see that, its kind of sad...we dont have as much talent as I had previously thought.

My Bengals list for reference I suppose...

                  1. Carson Palmer
                  2. Chad Johnson
                  3. Levi Jones
                  4. Willie Anderson
                  5. TJ Houshmandzadeh
                  6. Rudi Johnson
                  7. Justin Smith
                  8. Johnathan Joseph
                  9. Stacy Andrews (Started very few games but he's an animal at LG)
                  10. Madieu Williams (Assuming he rebounds back from last year)

Bravo for the Peko mention though, he pretty much gets ignored when people talk about DT's from last year.

Lindell is probably the only other Bill that would have a top 10 argument, and you clearly didn't show much respect to the K/P here (identified by Moorman at 8 for us, as well as being the only punter that I've seen on any team), so nothing big missing here. Kelsay could be over Simpson at the moment, that would be about it, although I think Ko can have a decent year.

I think the Packers looks pretty good. The last 2 spots are kind of up in the air. I would probably put Favre on instead of Collins.

Cutler belongs on Denver's list, IMO. I'd put him 4-5. Javon and Champ are obviously better, and then Lepsis and maybe DJ. But not the way hes playing now.
