  • Top Sunday Fantasy Performers

If the season ended today, this would be how your fantasy league's first round should have went...

    1. Eli Manning, QB
    2. Tony Romo, QB
    3. Plaxico Burress, WR
    4. Tom Brady, QB
    5. Jon Kitna, QB
    6. Randy Moss, WR
    7. Josh McCown, QB
    8. Jake Delhomme, QB
    9. Peyton Manning, QB
    10. Ronald Curry, WR

    Yeah, RB/RB strategy holds water...

I don't believe that, I'm just merely stating who had the most fantasy points in Week 1.

    Paul

    New York Giants
    New York Yankees
    New York Knicks (unfortunately)
    UConn Basketball
    Virginia Tech Football
    UConn Football

I'm not surprised. QB's usually get the most fantasy points. Those 3 WR's just had great days, especially Burress. I'm surprised Ronald Curry had a better outing than TO's.
    Still Team The Ke$ha!!!

umm, this is basically why you DONT need to take a qb early in fantasy....look at brees output, then look at eli...they were probably drafted 6 rounds away from eachother...

and it is just one week, s jax started slow last yr as well without many tds, then he blew up the 2nd half...LJ as well, dont put much stock into one game, big ben played cleveland, i doubt he puts up 4 tds no picks each week

things such as this maybe should go in the 'Fantasy' area. just my opinion though.

i'd agree and say that over the long hall, getting those real good RBs is the safer bet. u see guys at QB and WR who went lower high in the standings obviously if u go soley from one week. u think McCown should go top 10? because that sounds like what ur saying. Only some idiot would take Tomlinson top 10!!!

so much has to do with matchups on a given week, but in the long-run ur going to get ur consistent performers, ur busts and ur sleepers. this may be an interesting start to the season, but it is what it is, only one week. i see no way this top 10 stays top 10 for the season.

I was just kind of pointing out the irony of how all fantasy experts say go RB/RB, and it's QBs and WRs who got all the points this week. I agree that you should go RB/RB because there is only so much talent and value there that you have to get it early.

eh, just because one week doesn't fit the trend doesn't mean anything. so i'm not to sure of ur point, unless it is just that this week didn't fit the trend, in which case this thread is pointless.....but i already thought that to begin with

This happens every year and by year's end the Running Backs are the top scorers. Unless you are in some crazy scoring system.

exactly, and i guess we should just throw out the window that with one week you cant even accurately gauge their consistency...some teams had tough matchups, some had weak...how about let that balance out a little more before we get excited about mcnown...

WR really saved me this week. In one league I was up by about 5 points going into the NYG/DAL game. I had Plaxico Burress and snuff had Brandon Jacobs and Jeremy Shockey. I thought I was going to lose, but I'm sure you can figure out what happened. In another league I was down by 13 points going into the second half of the NYG/DAL game. Well, TO put me up by 7 points. I have Frank Gore going tonight and he has TJ Houshmandzadeh.

I feel like an ass right about now for taking Jerry Porter in the 10th round with Curry still on the board in my main league...
