I guess all you have to do is list every OC and DC and state that they all have HCing potential. Some of the guys you listed have zero chance of ever being NFL HC's and some will be NFL HC's.
            And proud of it!!!

Jaguars' defensive coordinator Mike Smith has a better shot of being a future head coach than Mike Shula does.

I've been wondering this for months now:

How about Jeff Tedford? Why isn't he a head coaching candidate?

I'm not sure why he isn't more strongly considered, he's head coach material and he's a legit quarterback guru. Bobby Petrino can't hold his play sheet, how does Petrino from baby sister school Louisville get the nod from the pros before Tedford who has sent countless prospects to the pros? Tedford has done a very good job of fielding teams at Cal that aren't the most talented but are effective, plus he has a great eye for (underrated) talent.
                    Pugnacity, testosterone, truculence, and belligerence.

Tedford is a college QB guru, but his guys suck in the NFL.

What would lead you to believe that he couldn't enhance a quarterback in the pros like he's done time and again in college?

He should be getting a HC job soon.

                              where's Norm Chow?
I think both him and Rob Ryan should become HC next year, and I'm not sold on Rex Ryan for this offseason he just seems to me like he will have an Mike Nolan type HC career.
