What Marinelli loves most about Redding, who had a team-high eight sacks, is his energy, and he doesn't want to sap it by simply slapping the franchise tag on him.
"I think it's just very cold when you say, 'Well, hey, I don't care what you want. I don't care what you think. Done. You're here,' " Marinelli said. "This guy's built on playing hard, and he's got to feel good about everything in this building. So that's what I've been working toward."
I'm sure we'll sign him to a Long Term deal soon, though..
On ESPN, John Clayton said as a DT.. He also said that Redding is not happy about it, does not want to stay in Detroit, and is now hoping for a trade.
I don't think I've ever heard of a player being tagged and being happy about it.
The whole world loves neophyte athletic tight end Jimmy Graham from Miami with the 95th pick. "Best pick in the draft,'' one AFC coach told me. "Give him time, and in that offense, he'll be better than [Jeremy] Shockey by the start of next year.''
“We know that no matter the adversity, be it the lockout, be it the suspension or be it a hurricane, our men will pull together and defend the honor of this city. We’ve shown we’ve been able to do that.” - Jabari Greer
