False. The Saints offered our second round pick. The Giants insisted on having Roman Harper and the second rounder and the Saints declined. As of now, that's where the stalemate is.
The whole world loves neophyte athletic tight end Jimmy Graham from Miami with the 95th pick. "Best pick in the draft,'' one AFC coach told me. "Give him time, and in that offense, he'll be better than [Jeremy] Shockey by the start of next year.''

“We know that no matter the adversity, be it the lockout, be it the suspension or be it a hurricane, our men will pull together and defend the honor of this city. We’ve shown we’ve been able to do that.” - Jabari Greer

i hope they give us their #1 pick. If you look at it, Seattle is in a tough spot, because no player they would need would warrant their 1st. Its almost a luxury pick for them.

I don't know if the BPA at 25 would be a better player than Shockey.

Id trade Shockey for the 25th pick.

          • As a Giant fan, I believe that we are a better team with Jeremy Shockey healthy and in the lineup but after hearing that he was contemplating sitting out the season if he didn't get a new role and that he wouldn't mind a trade, as much as it would pain to trade him, i'd have to pull the trigger on him for #40 in a heartbeat but if rumors of the Seahawks being interested are true, I have a gut feeling Shockey for #25 could happen and the Seahawks have already been rumored to be shopping that pick so I think that could be a legit possibility.

            • Id trade Shockey for the 25th and draft Mayo if hes there and take Tyrell Johnson at 31 or maybe even trade down fromthe 25th or 31st to the early 2nd and take Johnson with one of the picks and Trevor Laws

              • You have to stop using him as a blocking tight end and open him up as a receiver, like he was being used in his rookie season. Now, with Boss their at TE, it is possible to go into two TE sets, using Shockey in the slot, and basically opening the field. i believe they will keep him, and it will definitely be well worth it

                • If the Giants decide to trade Jeremy Shockey this week, it won't necessarily be to the Saints. Whether the Saints or Seahawks up the ante between now and the start of the draft on Saturday will likely determine whether the Giants make the bold move to dump the 27-year-old Shockey, who has been expressing his frustrations with the Giants to his friends this offseason. According to team sources, the Giants aren't actively trying to trade him, but they are listening to offers and have discussed the possibility. Some in the organization are convinced Shockey will be traded before the first day of the draft is over, although most sources have indicated it could go either way, depending on how high the offers go. One source also indicated that other teams have expressed an interest in Shockey, although none more than the Seahawks and Saints. The source did not say who those teams were, but one possibility is the Atlanta Falcons, who are looking to replace tight end Alge Crumpler. The Falcons, by the way, have three second-round picks (34th, 37th and 48th). -- NY Daily News

                    i want Seattle's 1, or 2 2nd rounders out of Atlanta.

i just want some ammo to make a power move in the 1st round. Gotta get the best available CB before your Cowboys do at 23 ;)
