Sometimes I hate the world we live in. These guys live to play football. They love it and a bad paid safety is a safety that is ONLY getting paid $900,000. Granted cost of living has gone up since back in the day, but the cost of players and the cost of living has not gone up in sync. Players make way too much now a days. It's mind numbing. I HATE my job and get paid nowhere close to that and he loves it and most players complain when they are only making 1 million dollars this year.
a BIG bargain is Ben Watson.
He's making $7.5 million over 6 years
I think most if not all Pats fans will tell you Watson hasn't lived up to the first round pick the Pats drafted him with, hence the 6-year rookie contract. He's a workout warrior when it comes to measurables, but it hasn't come together plus he drops a number of balls.
Also, you can add Watson's former teammate in New England and current Broncos tight end Daniel Graham in that highest-paid in the league list. 5 years, $30M. (Shanny, you idiot.)
Pugnacity, testosterone, truculence, and belligerence.
