If you watch cincinnati enough, you've seen Chris Henry fill roles for both TJ and Chad, and he's 100% capable.

I think that's more Carson than it was Henry.

I'm obviously a little bit biased, but I think anybody with 2 hands could thrive with carson - he's a great QB. But Henry really is pretty talented.

No one in this thread is saying Henry is straight up better than Chad btw. But if you're a bengals fan you've seen him play on a higher level than a 3rd string receiver normally plays on, and its evident that he has the capability to be great (at least in the bengals offense).

So he's 100% capable of putting up over 1100 yds and 8 tds for 8 seasons in a row while being the main focus of the defense? Thats optimistic thinking, im glad you figured that out from watching how limited he even got to play...Im not saying he's not talented because he is, but I dont see why Bengals fans keep acting like he's a proven commodity, he hasnt done anything in this league yet except screw up, and you guys are going to tell me he's "easily" good for multiple pro bowl seasons

Also not sure if it was posted but looks like there was another incident around the same time span that also involved Henry...

ProFootballTalk.com cites a WLWT-TV report that says Chris Henry, RB Chris Perry and DT Domata Peko could have charges filed against them after "incidents" at a club called "BANG" on Sunday.

The club released a statement saying it hadn't filed charges "pending the settlement of punitive damages," which the players have refused to pay. As PFT.com pointed out, it sounds like the club is trying to squeeze some money out of the Bengals players by threatening charges, but it's just more trouble in Cincinnati.

yes. I mean this really isn't an argument =P You're speculating that he can't do that, and I'm speculating that he can. I'm not going to waste all my time defending Chris Henry (who I am glad is off the team btw), but he's certainly a great receiver. Physically he has the hips, legs and hands to be an elite receiver.

Like I said previously, no bengals fan thinks Chris Henry is better than Chad Johnson. Chad has too much experience playing high tier cornerbacks and being double teamed to be out done by a receiver who spent most of his career suspended for his off-the-field actions. However, he certainly has the potential to be where Chad Johnson is if he put the work in. He's extremely talented and makes big plays.

I don't think Henry is better than Chad but he DEFINITELY has the tools to be but its kind of a moot point now. Hate to see a young man give up an opportunity like that but there's no way he deserves to be on a team at this point.

He's in more trouble, believe it or not.
In addition to the Monday altercation (allegedly) that got receiver Chris Henry cuffed by the cops and then cut by the Bengals, there’s another incident that could land Henry and two guys still employed by the team in hot water.

According to WLWT-TV, Henry and running back Chris Perry and defensive tackle Domata Peko were at a club called “BANG” in Cincinnati, where they allegedly caused an early-morning ruckus last Sunday.

The club issued the following statement on Thursday: “On March 30 around 1 a.m., there were incidents involving members of the Cincinnati Bengals Football team at BANG Nightclub. Chris Henry, Chris Perry and Domata Peko were escorted out by police at the close of the club. Charges have not been filed, pending the settlement of punitive damages.”

A league source tells us that the players have refused to pay anything to “BANG,” and that charges will indeed be pursued.

That said, we’re troubled by the appearance that the folks at “BANG” apparently tried to squeeze some money out of Henry and company by holding over their heads the possibility of filing charges. It’s not much different than what those guys in Little Rock tried to pull several weeks ago with Darren McFadden. The far better approach for the victim of an alleged crime is to get the cops involved before trying to squeeze any money out of the alleged perps.

Regardless, Perry and Peko could be the next members of the team that wears tiger stripes to be sporting prison stripes in due time.

Peko is a great guy, seriously, he lives in my city, everybody loves him... He's golden, couldn't have been anything excessive. He's a big teddy bear.

Anyway, I guess me saying Henry could've been 'easily' better than TJ/CJ is harsh (keep in mind I said TJ as well, TJ is a beast so it's not just about hating Chad). Henry DEFINETELY had the tools, with great work ethic there's no doubt in my mind he would've at least been on their level. Incredible speed/size, he could bring down the hard catch as well. I have no reason to sit here and brag on a guy that's been nothing but trouble and is no longer on our team so this is how I feel.

If you watched the Bengals play on a semi frequent basis (Browns/Ravens/Steelers fans?), it was evident the potential was there.
