Meanwhile, in hockey the other night, the Washington Capitals' Eric Belanger gets hit with a stick, loses EIGHT teeth, has an instant root canal in the locker room, comes back out and PLAYS and never says boo.

So new rule, NBA: Unless you have a root canal at halftime, SHUT UP AND PLAY!

          Westbrook was 6'3", 221, and ran a 4.47. That's pretty damn intriguing.

Should we just rule out Darrell Scott right now?

oh ok that sounds more reasonable. he said 4.3, 40 in vert, 400 bench. i highly doubt those.

anybody have his officially combine/pro day numbers?

I remember Michael Westbrook. He had that one really good season, then got hurt the next year. He did have the talent though, just never really put it together.

The problem arises when people use statistics like a drunk uses a lamp post: for support instead of illumination.

If luck is where preparation meets opportunity, then clutch is where failure meets luck.

<Add1ct> setting myself on fire can't be that hard
<Add1ct> but tackling a mosquito might prove a challenge

Guy was/is crazy talented...but, like many NFL busts...just don't or didn't love the game and that is a tell tale sign of failure in the NFL. It doesn't have to be your #1 passion...several NFL players...stars even love basketball moreso than the game they play, but they still have that passion for football...when they lose and receive the boos from the fans and the nasty letters by the media...they still love the game.

Two recent first round players who didn't live up to the hype...Ryan Leaf and Michael Westbrook failed in the NFL because of one thing...they lacked passion for the game.

Some guys get by with no passion because they are winning...Jim McMahon comes to mind...but when you are losing...it doesn't make for a very good recipe for happiness.

In response to someone above me...

Ricky Williams has the passion, guy LOVES football...dude just has/had another passion...weed...also has a social anxiety disorder which makes him one eccelctic dude.
