  • Shaun Alexander to be released today?

Multiple message boards are reporting it from ESPN TV and Sirius radio, this is the only link I've found so far.

Dropping dead weight is always a good course of action.

They could have massively overspent for Hutchinson rather than massively overpay for Alexander, in retrospect.
      Pugnacity, testosterone, truculence, and belligerence.

So who do you think'll pick him up?

          Hellllo, Mr. Stewart?
The whole world loves neophyte athletic tight end Jimmy Graham from Miami with the 95th pick. "Best pick in the draft,'' one AFC coach told me. "Give him time, and in that offense, he'll be better than [Jeremy] Shockey by the start of next year.''

“We know that no matter the adversity, be it the lockout, be it the suspension or be it a hurricane, our men will pull together and defend the honor of this city. We’ve shown we’ve been able to do that.” - Jabari Greer

            I don't think he'll last that long.

I think it's a possiblity that he drops out of the 1st Rd.

Surely they'd wait until after the draft. It's still possible that they could miss out on the backs that they're targeting. Unlikely but possible.

Todd McShay just came out yesterday and said Stewart's stock is back on the rise and it's realistic that he could go as high as Denver

There were rumors in the Denver media a while back that the Broncos liked Stewart, but then his surgery kinda cooled down that talk. Later, they brought in Mendenhall for a visit, which IMO was to take a second look at the "other guy" (the one you're not planning to take) and as a bit of a smokescreen.

Right now, I think Stewart is the most likely pick at 12, unless Ellis or Dorsey slide down there.

I always thought he was overrated. He was a slow runner that looked like he ran scared... It is amazing how after his contract year he just tumbled down hill.

Man i hope they take Felix Jones.

Just so i can laugh at everyone and their mother that had
him slated to the Cowboys, and that way he'll have no shot of ever
setting foot into Cowboy territory unless it's with an opposing team.

I'm gonna cry if we pick Jones.
