Wow your something else. And your the one that suggested we would get less than all Chiefs fans thought we would get for Jared Allen because the Falcons got less than they thought they would get for Hall.

Hall's considered an overrated, gambling, guessing corner, throughout most of the league. And pass rushers are the ones who get paid, and demand a premium.

      • Its a good move, with Allen they get an elite young player at a huge need position. They gave up 3 first day picks, but its very unlikely they'd have gotten a player near his ability. Sure they likely would have gotten more depth by not trading, but you don't win superbowls with just depth. You win it with great talent at alot of positions and decent players at the others. Its fairly easy to find decent players, extremely hard to find elite ones.

        • The truth is you become a dynasty by amassing depth and right now I will be happy to just contend seriously for a year. I really think the Vikings will do a good job like last year getting some great values late in the draft. My biggest position of worry now is QB, which is great because I knew regardless of what we did best case scenario QB would be my only worry.

          • If you go by guaranteed money, Allen is now not only the highest paid DE in the league, but the third-highest overall behind Peyton Manning and Big Ben.

            • value wise it seems like a lot to give up, especially considering the risk in
Allen and a possible suspension. However, I believe that for the most part draft picks are much more risky than a proven player, as it looks good but it is amazing the number of 1st rounders who bust. The Vikings get the pass rusher they BADLY need, which should improve there already outstanding defense to another level (2 williams and Allen? sick).
The run game and offensive line (left side) should help the offense to pound the ball and just ask Jackson to 'not lose games'. That strategy is has worked in the past, and a solid run game and a good defense are the style of team i really like. But it is Jackson, and anythign can happen.

              Lastly, that contract is massive

He's mid 20's, led the league in sacks after missing a few games, what size contract did you expect when Tommie Kelly just raked in 50 million with 20 guaranteed, and nobody had any clue who he was.

                • the contracts that these pass rushers are getting is ridiculous. im worried that it might not be possible for the Giants to keep so many pass rushers on the roster long term when the Tommy Kelly's of the world get 50 million bucks.

Granted we just extended Tuck, Kiwi will have at least 3 more years on his contract as will Osi, but im sure that all 3 of them at one point will get upset with how grossly underpaid they are and start holding out/demanding trades. not cool.

None of those positions are more important than protecting your franchise QB's blind side...Also consider that Chris Williams is an elite LT, and protected Cutler in college, gotta have fait that's a recipe for success, and much more important then especially a RB, or Clady because the chemistry with Cutler and Williams wins that out.

                    • People on this site over value draft picks imo, for the simple reason that we are all draft fans. I would much rather have a 26 year old, proven, elite player, than a couple of shots in the dark that may never pan out.

Umenyiora's already there this summer. Tuck can ****, he signed his name to an extension only a few months ago - he either should have asked for more or not signed.
